Minnesota is a lot like the Rangers. They need a reset badly. Cap compliance buyouts after a new CBA is ratified will help them tremendously. I think they can find a sucker for Suter at half retained, but Parise is a lost cause.

For sure.

Had they stayed the course, they could have landed one.

They didn’t and the highlight of the parise/Suter era is a 6 game 2nd round loss to Chicago that they probably deserved to win.

Adding Hayes and Coyle would give them two VERY good lines and if they can resign Hayes they have a legit shot to push for a Cup the next couple of years at the very least

Hayes is better than Coyle though Coyle has the extra year.

Have to think our ask was higher, or else they’d probably have Hayes which is good.

I never thought Hayes was much of a consideration for Boston, they needed a winger more than a center. Coyle can play both but is probably more of a winger.

Good deal for Boston. Donato is solid but Coyle is a 40 point player signed to a reasonable contract for another year.

I hope that isn't indicative of the return for our guys, but Donato was probably a top 3 prospect for the Bruins
