works for me.Buch, Skjei, GG, 2nd round pick ‘21 for Nylander and Kapanen?
Didn't even realize you were talking this season too. Who'd even be playing the vacated 2RD position? Rookies Fox and Lingren are not likely to be separated (or permanently promoted).
Just to make sure, I'm not challenging that it's a resolution move to potential / likely crowdedness issue at RW in near future and a lack of 1LW during that same timeframe.
Bill Nylander?
Actually the idea of ADA and Fox as a pairing seems to be getting a bit of traction, but I don't think we'll see that happen a whole lot this year aside from situations where Quinn is shortening his bench or looking for a real big offensive push.
Fox is going to push for a top-4 spot in the near future. He's far exceeded my expectations for him in his first season. So pairing him and Tony together isn't out of the realm of possibility going forward.
From the day he was drafted he had 3C written all over him. He's big and works hard and is nasty, but he doesn't have any kind of top end offensive skills. I remember when he was drafted someone from the B's organization said he wasn't going to be a top six guy and many laughs were had. He's fine, decent player, would actually be a nice add to the organization--but again, he's a bottom six guy. Gettinger isn't the spark plug Frederic is but I think their actual output could look quite similar. It does now.But is it a fair deal?
@nyr2k2 why do you think that in regards to Frederic? If he wasn’t much more than Gettinger than it would be an awful return for Kreider
I agree with that.
What I am concerned about is if Colorado’s front office is worried about Strome’s attitude if he goes back to playing 3C after successfully playing as a 1C.

For sure. As a piece of a deal, I would happily take him. But if he's the centerpiece? Or like half of the deal (i.e. a 1st plus Frederic)? I'd rather try to find a boom-bust guy than someone like Frederic who is relatively safe (although I still have my doubts) but with a lower ceiling. And I think most around here would be interested in Frederic as a 3rd liner, whether it’s at center or wing. He plays with a similar North-South no nonsense attitude as Lemieux. By no means is he a Grade A prospect but as a piece in return for Kreider he would be a unique piece to the organization in the way he plays.

If I were Keith, I'd be pretty embarrassed right now. If you aren't willing to fight someone, you sure as hell had better not target their head with an illegal hit. That is a Marchand level of gutlessness. I'd expect better from a Tkachuk.
Seems like quantity over quality to me, but that's maybe all we can get.Whats your thoughts on the pandered Frederic + Heinen + 1st for Kreider at half cap hit?
What would we have to add to Skjei and Georgiev for either Bill Nylander or Kapanen?
I would be thrilled if we were able to draft Tim Stutzle
Yeah his stock is rising and we probably wont get him unless we get some lottery luck againThat **** looks like 3rd overall atm ...![]()
So Buch/ Skjei / Georgiev and a 2nd for Nylander / Kapenen
Kreider for Heinen/ Frédéric and a 1st.
Talk about re-building the team.
