I'd like to see it. But am not sure if they will wait till the deadline. Why risk an injury if the market is willing to pay now?

For Chris, a change of scenery to get a bigger lifetime payout should be viewed as a positive.

He hasn't brought us too much value this season, I hope we get a return based on his body of work rather than this season.

They've really got to stop picking entitled kids. I haven't been fan of HFD's infrastructure for a while, but they've turned that around this year.

You can't have your top 10 picks wanting out so quickly. You either do your due diligence and make sure you get good pro. 2017 and 2018 looks like misses from getting players without a sense of entitlement in the top 10.

Develop a better interview process and do your due diligence.

No one wants to pay some of highest ticket prices in the league to watch a lesser product, and deal with a bitching 21 year old as a the "reward".

My wishlist for the players/assets I would love to see Gorton trade before July 1:

1. Nils Lundkvist
He should have a huge WJC. His SHL season is unbelievable.

Will his value ever be higher? If we deal him I think it would be a good deal.

2. Ryan Strome
By far the biggest positive surprise for me this season. He has improved a lot, and been able to take that offensive game he had in Juniors to the NHL.

Same here, if we can move him, great. The value would be great. To a large extent a product of Panarin.

3. Alex Georgiev
Cash in on this asset.

4. Chris Kreider
He will be too expensive. Must be moved.

5. Our 1st in 2020
Whomever we pick in 2020 can’t be counted on to really contribute in 4-5 years. If Gorton can find someone that is — handpicked — for this team I think it’s a trade that would make a lot of sense for us.

6. Brady Skjei
I don’t think ld DEPTH could become a need for this team even if we tried to make it one.

It’s a REAL chicken move if Gorton does NOT trade him. JMHO.

He tried his best. That draft was tough. We only managed to finagle that 7th OV pick because it was a top 6 and the rest draft year. Time to move on for everyone. This should be some indictment against Quinn as well. Good luck to Lias.

Unreal. What a bummer. Hope he makes us eat this so bad. If you think EDM won't ever get full value for Pulju, I can't f***in' wait to see what kinda garbage deal we get for this 21 yr old #7.

Horrible, at least we have ADA out of that trade but man...

No way should Brett Howden even be in the NHL but there was literally zero reason for him to be played above Lias in the start of the season. Lias was better than him by A LOT during preseason and just never got the shot.

Hope someone else gives him a real chance.

Pulju, probably.

Team needs a shakeup, Lias situation aside.

They are not hard to play against. Which has to do with their piss poor depth.

Shesty needs NHL time. Keep 3 goalies up. Or trade GG.

How do you shake up a team with young players on ELC that would constitute giving up and selling low"if you "shook things up". Skjei and Buchnevich are the best options for a good value friendly return but even then, I think it's way easier to shake Quinn out instead of starting trading legitimate NHLers.

Lias for Duclair :sarcasm:

I know its not happening.... This is where we really miss Chiarelli

Have never been a Ho Sang fan, but it seems the Islanders are in a similar position with him. Maybe Andersson for Ho Sang if not for Puljujarvi. Maybe just for a low 1st if not for a body.

I would be exploring a Skjei trade yes. Georgiev trade. I would look to bring a free agent vet forward for the 4th line and maybe stabilize the team a bit because it just seems all over the place.

So I always thought Lias would be protected in expansion ... they have room to get another young player now

Zib , Panarin , Howden , Buch , Lemieux , Chytil as of now

I’m ok w signing Fast and Strome but expose them

Puljarvi still makes sense or a kid for Kreider
