He wasn't the only one on the trade block, only he and Miller let that letter effect their play.
Nash NEVER dogged it. His production slipped dramatically but It wasn't for lack of effort. Ditto Grabner (the effort part, he produced very well here) and those guys KNEW that they were 100% on the way out (neither wanted to leave.)
Zucc's game was mediocre long before the letter. I've mentioned it plenty of times, his game along the walls and his overall zip has completely vanished. It used to be that if there were a loose puck in the corner, he'd come away with it more often than not. Now, he always loses those battles and is easily muscled off.
If he's having trouble getting worked up because he thinks hes on the way out, does that sound like the kind of leader you want around a bunch of young kids?
