panarin is on record saying nyc is where he wants to play.

buchnevich. shesty. names and kravtsov will/may be here too.

he needs to sign a fair deal and he can be here next fall on line 1 playing with mika and CK.

Why are we taking moulson or Kassian back, especially Kassian who has been somewhat of an off ice problem since he got drafted. I'd rather take Talbot and a first back and let Allaire build him back up again.

Kassian has been just fine off the ice in Edmonton. He’s the type of guy this team could use 1-2 of for their lower lines. The last couple of years he’s been a very effective 3-4 line winger and PKer while also bringing a physical element to his game. I’d be just fine with him coming in and I think both Quinn and the fans would love having him.

They're not going to trade Makar. If they trade Timmons, then you know the concussion is pretty bad. Too much upside to trade on a rental.

I know they're a little disappointed that Jost hasn't provided a lot of production. Was rushed imo.... and had a lot of false hype around him. To me Jost is another Sam Bennet. Sure it's an NHL player, but one that doesn't fit a role on contending team imo. Might be too early, since he's just 20 years old, but I don't see Sakic as a guy that's going to trade their prospects. It's not like they've got a stacked farm, but they do have some very good prospects.

COL has Rantanen to re-sign, and will be in a good position to do so with Wilson, Nemeth, & Varlamov as UFAs. But they've got plenty of room for Kevin Hayes.

If the Rangers get the COL 1st, OTT 3rd, and another conditional 3rd that becomes a 2nd if COL wins a round, then I would be happy with the deal. It would be great to get a serviceable NHL ready body and a 1st for Hayes. Say a near future 4th line wing and a 1st. But if that doesn't happen, two 3rds is a much higher return.

Can't wait for Avs fans to inform us that Kerfoot and a 2nd is more than fair.

They may think that, but come February, Hayes is going to be one the better value adds a team can add. I can see OTT dealing Duchene and Stone. I don't see CLB as sellers. After that, you've got Nyqvist and maybe some sell-offs from the Islanders as the top 6 options. Not too many centers, and there are a number of teams that want centers who won't pay a premium on Duchene.

My hopes are that Gorts gets things done early. Last year there was a potential Zucc deal that came in too late. If I were Gorts, I would move quickly on the teams that pass on Nyqvist and Duchene (if available) and get Zucc and Hayes done. It's a different set of parameters than trading a McDonagh and Miller.

They need to have their acceptable value set, and terms outlined early on.

Avs have an interesting group of prospects/potentially available players. Boston, I know most of us are fairly familiar with the quality of their system from the Nash/McDonagh trades.

Will be interesting to see who we targer. Gut feeling we like Shane Bowers a lot.

Apparently EVERYONE on the Blues is up for grabs.

EVERYONE

They're blowing up Core 2. Very interesting team. Maroon hasn't worked out for them, and I fully expect him and Bortuzzo to move despite a no-trade. Their forward contracts of Schenn-Schwartz-Bozak-Perron aren't unmoveable, but man are they undesirable. They'll get something for the former two, but UFA signings have not worked at all.

I wonder what Tarasenko is going to bring back. That's your "rebuilding block".

Toronto is in need of some toughness and a defenseman. They know McQuaid well. I’m thinking that may be his landing spot

He won't play everyday for them, but it would be a good piece. TOR has a ton of currency with their prospects. Babcock really likes Pietrangelo. If the Blues were to retain.... I'm sure TOR would pay a higher price than McDonagh got.

McQuaid is a good fit for them, a couple of games, PK option. Playoff experience. He's a good insulation piece.
