Somewhere soon down the line:

Miller-Trouba
Robertson-Lundkvist
Lindgren-Fox

The right side is wierd with the quality. Trouba, ADA, Fox and Lundkvist are all great. I don't know who to keep ...
Left side is safe. Lindgren is warrior and a good hockey player too, desperately want him long term on the bottom pair.

Is it bad that we have a rather defensive left side and an offensive right defensive side? Would a better mix be better?

As much as we may have been ripped off by Tampa, we ripped off Boston badly.

Just because a trade exists doesn't make it good.

If the best return out there is crap, it's will always be a crap return.

Serious underrating of Lindgren here. I don’t know if there is any D in our system with the defensive upside that he is showing. I think he’s going to be a staple and a likely match up with top lines.

I see this future:

Lindgren - Fox
Skjei - Trouba
Miller - Lundkvist

I’ll be honest, I don’t really care what number Lindgren ends up playing, he appears to be a long term staple in the top-6 and he brings an element the rest of the blue line doesn’t exactly have. As a singular piece of what the Rangers received for 20 games of Rick Nash that’s a coup.

i like Lindgren but think he’s kinda the perfect partner for Fox and really benefitting from the partnership and anything different he’ll look a bit different

that’s not a problem i just think he’s still as limited as before, just in a really good situation. but considering he’s at least good at it i’m fine with it

This has shades of McDonagh-Girardi all over again

Fox and Lindgren haven't been particularly good together:

hard disagree

Lindgren is still playing well despite the good situation where McD-G was a parasitic pairing
Lindgren is playing okay for a 21 year old defenseman

I just find it weird that people like forcing players into roles they probably aren’t suited for.

Lindgren is probably going to be a solid bottom pair defender for the majority of his career, and there’s nothing wrong with that

Well said.
