Groin injuries are the worst. Unless you sit out until long after you think you're 100%, you're gonna tear that bad boy again.

Yup, for the older fans here (and I'm not even THAT old been watching this teams since I was a lad) remember Richter's groin injury in 1990-91? He missed most of the second half. He changed is workout regime after the season to ensure it never happened again.

I injuried my groin playing indoor soccer once, couldn't walk without some kind of pain for more than a month, sports again just 3 months after the injury, it wasn't a fun time.

Had a solid week of horrific groin pain after lifting a heavy amplifier and carrying it for some time. Awkward lift, so I guess I pulled something out of whack. I thought I had a case of torsion.

Could barely walk the first 2 or 3 days. Got the soonest doctor appointment that I could and he told me I pulled my groin. Holy hell. Can't imagine what a worse pull/tear would be like. I just remember slowly shuffling down the sidewalk coming out of the doctor, probably looking like I soiled myself.

Exactly. Something he has failed to do each and every time he has been given an opportunity.

That's not really true. He was pretty good last season, at least as far as 4th line plugs in limited roles on bad teams can probably be.

Anyway he's fairly young and is a pretty productive AHLer. He'll likely get another shot at a 4th line or bottom 6 role, even if it isn't here.

That’s it?

Did Gorton lose his phone?

I like Leivo. RHS wing. Has some good size. 25 years old. He would be an upgrade.

I guess the Rangers didn’t have a Carcone in their system. The guy isn’t a prospect. It would not have cost the Rangers a contract.

Oh well.

Looks like they were trying to get him a good opportunity to play. Not take much back. They get it done with Vancouver and he is out of conference.

We have plenty of players who provide as much as Leivo and who have potential.

Kinda puzzled by the lovefest for Leivo. He's 25 (26 when he hits RFA this summer), with 84 games in the NHL. What am I missing here?

He's always been noted as a guy who should get top-9 minutes and he produces in his short stints in that type of role but the Leafs always bump him down or our of the lineup. It's a good pick up for a team like Vancouver or ateam looking for more depth scoring. The guy hasn't been given a consistent role and yet he has 28 points in 84 games played. ~30-35 points from a RH forward at close to league minimum? It's not earth shattering but it's good bang for your buck

I love this new mindset where unless we acquire every player that becomes available then “Gorton is screwing up!”
