he never said anything about not picking him...he was responded to a comment about the benefit of getting a top player on a ELC and he pointed out the reality that if the player is actually that good it isn't as cheap as people think....but that applies to any high pick that is good.
I know I’m over thinking, just worried. Once bitten, twice shy.

Gerardi was a warrior, he could teach these guys a lot about d-zone positioning and taking away shooting lanes, etc, but I think the team wants to go with a more aggressive puck pressuring system. Gerardi could end up running that side of the bench for Torts or Sullivan one day.

Girardi was just name-dropped during the Coyotes/Avalanche game. Pee Air accidentally called Sam Girard "Danny Girardi"

I wonder if Columbus would be interested in a Strome for Andersson trade. Thy have done a god job squeezing as much offense out of their team as possible and they have a ton of 2-way gritty forwards already signed. They signed Nyquist last off-season to come in a try to help with some offense and he had a decent first season but with Andersson's contract issues in the past and the fact that he is 1 year from UFA, I wonder if they would prefer a guy like Strome who could come in and slot on their 2nd line, wing or center and help put up some points for the next 3-4 years (assuming they can come to a contractual agreement)

I'm not

Anderson is a f***ing bum

Thought he looked really strong in the play-in round as well as against the Leafs. If he could stay healthy he'd be a great addition but the guy is made of glass. It's not even like it's something chronic that different doctors might be able to figure out. He's just brittle as hell.
Right. I think depending on the price it would be a risk worth taking, and I assume because of those injuries he wont cost a ridiculous amount.

Is Jim Montgomery still around? I'd take him on the bench
I think Montgomery likely needs 2 years to prove that he's sober before he gets another shot in the NHL.
I've been told he was drunk 24/7 with the Stars.

Not comparing Alexis Lafreniere to Eric Lindros, but if god forbid the Rangers do trade him maybe there would be a bidding war between Montreal, Ottawa and other teams driving the price to ridiculous over valued levels. I would think the number of Jerseys the Canadiens franchise could sell would certainly help in an overbid and overpay. Preparing for the worst and making myself feel better about it.

Hyman is the last guy I would move. He's a legendary worker and the one guy who seems to give a shit on that team.
My point was that it is a silly report to make. The headline can't read that a team wants to make big changes and then go on to say that they are looking to move players that are like 10th or lower on their value list. It makes no sense.

I just don’t understand the Howden love. I guess he’s an obedient little soldier.

He's not near as bad as you guys make him out to be, his positional play is improving every year, hes decent on faceoffs and kills penalties. Once he gains some strength he will be able to play the game that made him successful in every other level. Everyone says they want a rebuild but dont wanna wait for the players to develop. Smh.

How much do you think Mikael Granlund will cost?

I think he’s a pretty great target on a 2 year prove it deal.

Versatile, C/W, good defensively, awesome vision.
Nashville year went bad but he is young enough to recover and should be cheap enough to mske it worth it

I think Howden with Lemieux and Gauthier will be far more functional than Howden with McKegg and Smith

Of course, but that doesn't mean that he's performed well on his own. He was not good in the play in round either, this team got their collective asses handed to them anytime he was on the ice.

Hes young enough where he can improve but whats scary is that the people in charge think that he is improving.
