Elias Lindholm is on an insanely good contract until 2024. The Flames would have to be incredibly blown away or stupid to give him up.

If you want a Lindholm, go get the one in Anaheim. Or, if you still want a LD, Brodin in Minnesota.

Idk about Hampus. He’d absolutely fit like a glove, but his production isn’t amazing and his CF% has been steadily declining. And he’d cost an insane amount of assets.

B) ADA is a PPG defenseman
C) Rangers need a center, more so than LD since there are plenty of LD in the pipeline. Domi is a center. Nylander is not. Lindholm is not.
D) The only center who might be available that matches what the Rangers need is Domi.
E) Domi for ADA is even value.

The rest of the proposals just don't garner enough return for a player of ADA's caliber.

Domi was playing on the 4th line in the playoffs. I don't think he has the value that ADA does.

Are you a GM? How do you know who might be available? Seriously, I have no idea who they could get for him...or if he is even being shopped. But to say any of us know what the options are is just silly.

And for context, for our board members, the conversations I am referring to were told to me by someone with the Rangers, and someone within the Flames organization. So that's how I can confirm the different interests of both sides.

I thought we were looking for a LD to play top minutes with Trouba. If Dunn can't do that, and barring a breakup of the Lindgren/Fox pairing, how much are we paying for a LD that will get third-pairing minutes?
