Henrik’s neighbor believes he is definitely staying in New York (not going to Sweden). The kids are in school here and he wants to stay in the US and keep playing for 2 more years, possibly with another team.
Are NYC schools even opening? How much of this speculation is based on pre-COVID reality? NYC is a far less attractive place to live than it was a few months ago, no?

I knew it was a groin this is what you see all the time at the beginning of the seasons guys come back and they pull groins hamstrings etc as they get back in shape. Just brutal brutal luck to lose such important players right at the start.

I’m waiting to hear what was wrong with Mika because something was up with him too

Would have been nice if everyone was healthy. Maybe we still lose the series but who knows? Maybe game 1 looks different with a healthy DeAngelo and healthy Igor

Also, this is f***ing pathetic and I’d be furious if I was the Rangers

Larry we know you lurk here, f*** off with this

Larry Brooks and the NY Post are a bunch of scumbags. This is a bullshit thing to do.

They got eliminated yesterday. He still has a year left on his contract. This is what they run with? Classless.

I hope Larry loses whatever sources he has left over this.

If Brooks got the Igor and Tony injuries, you can bet he got them being done with Hank from the same source, guessing the old rotary phone in Banff Alberta still works.
It’s wildly disrespectful to run it on the back page now though IMO.

Run it when he announces his retirement or is bought out. As of today he is still a Ranger and nothing has been announced publicly. It’s a speculative column from Brooks.

Totally classless, but we don’t know that JD isn’t behind it. We all know that Larry will print whatever they ask him to.

If the Rangers trade Georgiev they should do it with Larry on speakerphone.

I can see both sides, if Larry gets something on the record, he’s in a business of beating out his competitors, although most of the Rangers beat is clueless, not counting Vince who seems to actually give a shit.

Guessing Larry isn’t in charge of making the back cover decisions, so that would be solely on the post doing that.

It's also possible that there are announcements coming tomorrow and that's why the post is going to run that?

To me, it looked like Panarin was injured and Mika was out of shape. Panarin was still very quick but he appeared to be avoiding contact, whenever he gained possession or entered the zone he’d peel off and pass the puck at times where he’d normally carry it himself. It was almost as if he was scared of being hit. Mika on the other hand looked sluggish, uncoordinated, lazy, and gassed near the end of shifts

I think the Rangers were better off with DeAngelo on 1 leg than any of the replacements. Probably should have limited his ice time though.

I think the biggest issue was continuing to use him on the 1st pp unit. he seemed to skate better in games 2 and 3 but if you know he's playing hurt and you go 0 for 7 in game 1, why not try replacing him with fox or trouba on that top unit?

If the Penguins get eliminated and win the first overall for Lafreneire I’m gonna lose it.

Whoever wins it, people will cry about it.

Rangers/Blackhawks/Maple Leafs/Canadiens win: Ugh, the league is doing anything to help the Original Six teams
Wild/Jets/Blue Jackets/Predators/Panthers win: NHL just wants new teams to win the Cup like the last 2 years
Penguins/Oilers/Islanders win: NHL is just trying to revive old dynasties

It does not matter who wins the lottery on Monday. Social media will be full of crying and complaining how the NHL is corrupt and the lottery was rigged. Because it's easier to accept that, than to face the truth and realize it's just random
