Isles about to sweep the Caps
Think if Toronto never hired a nerd to build a hockey team and kept Lou on to fill out the roster.

Thats been the problem with Chytil. He never gets to prime areas/soft spots. Why I do not think he'd work with Panarin.
He's great with the carrying the puck... without the puck he'd typically suffocate the puck carrier. Kreider Chytil Buch is the line if we're looking to keep him at C
Stats? As someone who has played hockey for 27 years switching from playing on the left to the right side as a forward isn’t as difficult as some of you guys make it out to be
Not sure why so many are hard on Chytil. Chytil is 20. Our other 2 first round forwards are still listing their demands to come grace us with their presence.
We got pretty spoiled with kids coming in and being impact players immediately. Stepan, McDonagh, Kreider, Del Zotto. It’s the challenge with familiarity. It feels like he’s been around forever and his draft peers are only turning pro now. And, he was already on the younger end of his draft class to begin with.
When we see a player finish his third pro season, we’re used to seeing a 23 year old, sometime a 24 year old.
We’re not used to seeing a kid who hasn’t yet turned 21.

Yea that might be best for KreiderI feel down the road Kreider is on the right side and Buch prices himself out of town.
I don't know if Quinn will be comfortable with putting Laf on the 1st line right away, but to me the best way to spread out the scoring would be to have
Laf-Zibanejad-X/Kakko
Panarin-Strome/2C-X/Kakko
Kreider-Chytil-Buch
Lemieux-Howden-Gauthier
I noticed Barron has great size. How is his skating?I don't think B will still be here, but I'd like to see something similar to what you have.
If Kravtsov puts in the work, thats his spot. X can be what ever is traded for Buch.
Ok who is the 2c and which forward is moving for the 1D?
Well wouldn't we have to protect Deangelo if we kept him?
When I was younger my dad did this thing at the intermission of a Caps game where you raced from one blue line to the other and back. You had to put on shoulder pads, gloves, a helmet, pick up a stick, and then finally shoot the puck into the cage from the circle. My dad fell flat on his ass after I think putting on the helmet. He was quicker than the other guy who was like 25 (my dad was probably 55 or so) and he beat him. Threw his stick like 20 feet into the air. It was all great.Or the Capitals owner wasn't such a cheapskate...
Or you could just keep what seems to be a very gifted, young offensive defenseman that we already own. But what do I know?Yes, which is why I suspect we won’t keep him. Also as others have said, Buch is likely not going to be here next year. If you move both of them out to fill our two holes, then we don’t have to worry about the expanion draft issues people are raising and we balance out our roster a ton. Like I said, I doubt the front office is just going to maintain the status quo for next year.
I jinxed it!Isles about to sweep the Caps
Not just if I buy the NHLe stat, but it would sure suck to trade Buchnevich and watch this happen:
Buchnevich being moved before his next deal is pretty much a certainty at this point
If we trade Buch I still hope he takes off offensively. It would be nice to see. I just want to make sure we get good value back that can do the same for us. Unfortunately for him he's the best forward we have that we're also willing to move. When 3 of your projected top-4 wingers are Panarin, Lafreniere, and Kakko, having Buch as that 4th guy is probably a luxury we can't really afford. Throw Kreider in there and the writing is on the wall.
Yea that might be best for Kreider
You want the speed, net front presence and leadership
It's just his consistency at his natural position is still wanting so my concern when he moves over is will his production go down
But if it works out then beautiful
My memory could be a little fuzzy, but I want to say that between 1982 and 2017, the list of teenagers who played for the Rangers was fairly small.
Chris Kontos in 1982. Brian Leetch in 1987. Troy Mallette in 1989. Steven Rice in 1990. Alexei Kovalev in 1992. Christian Dube in 1996. Manny Malhotra in 1998. Dan Blackburn in 2001. Michael Del Zotto in 2009. JT Miller in 2012. Anthony Duclair in 2014.
Roughly 11 in an approximate 35/36 year span. Some were cups of coffee. Some were up and down. Etc. etc.
If Lafreniere makes his debut for the Rangers next season, we will be the fourth teenager to play for the Rangers since 2017.
So we’ve gone from 11 teens in 35/36 years, to 4 teens in 3/4 years. And we arguably might see a fifth teen if Kravtsov gets a look (one would argue be might have under normal circumstances in 2020).
And some of these kids saw quite a bit of time. Chytil for most close two full seasons now. Kakko for a full season. Andersson for roughly a full season. And that doesn’t take into account the number of 20 or 21 year olds we’ve seen or will see.
So that’s a bit of a re-calibration for Rangers fans.
