I really feel like we aren't talking about Subban enough. The guy is available for trade and Nashville might have to retain to move him. They wouldnt need to retain if trading with us. We can give them both Kreider and Shattenkirk at 50% if they are interested. I really think there is a deal to be made there and Subban would be of more use to us for longer than EK65.
We aren't talking about him because he's a bad idea. Just turned 30 and has 3 years left at 9 mil, most of which will be wasted on a bad team. Are we re-signing him at age 33 to be part of the core of a cup contender?
It makes no sense to waste our last significant trade asset (Kreider) to get a player who won't be part of the solution.
