Idk if it's the prices or what but one of my most recent games I went to the 2nd period some hipster and this chick sat next to us and gossiped and shit talked through the entire f***ing period. I feel like a lot of people go for something to do rather than want to actually go watch a hockey game if that makes sense

I have been to only one NHL arena. Amalie Arena in Tampa. 2016 while on vacation in Florida. It was against the Penguins. Sell out I believe. Thousands of Penguins jerseys. Stayed at a hotel just opposite the arena, and there were a lot of Penguins fans staying there.
There was not much noise, but I do not just blame the fans. A lot of Tampa fans started chants, but they were quickly stopped by loud music. Vassilievskiy made a great save and you could for one second hear oooooooh. But before the crowd had a chance to thank him, the music started to play. It was like the music started automatically when the whistle blew. Back in the days of an organ player, he would have waited and sensed that fans would start chanting. My guess is that the loud music was used as a form of crowd control. To keep it family friendly. No spontaneous chants. And maybe save the zebras from some nasty comments after bad calls:)

I go for the cavity searches and a chance to chat with Duguay

Last September, someone at MSG recognized me from Twitter and offered me and my girlfriend a beer. I felt guilty for accepting it. 36 dollars! You can sit on the glass at a KHL game for that money (with 2 dollars for a beer)

This is an exaggeration. You can get 25oz cans for far less than that. I think domestic is $12.50?

the beer prices are high but this really shouldn’t be a shock. It’s expensive to drink in London, Dublin, Paris, Stockholm, etc. i think i paid 7 euro for a bottle of Peroni at Stadio Olimpico in Rome. Couldn’t drink inside the stadium in Dublin watching GAA or inside multiple stadiums in the Uk for premier league matches.

It was either 17 or 18 dollars for the beers he bought.

You can go to an ECHL game and sit and drink for cheap.

The difference between the NHL and KHL is one is a $5-plus billion dollar enterprise, and the other generates what, $60M? You don't turn become a multi-billion dollar behemoth selling Natty Ice and Two Buck Chucks.

It's the difference between going to Peter Luger's or Outback.

Yeah, it's just a different economy. When you go anywhere in Manhattan, you will pay the premium. @Sirico brings this up a lot as a reason why he moved to Atlanta. Because it is just different

It sounds like it’s in agreement with the other article posted- overall more risk, sure. But that’s only when you don’t separate out controlled diabetes versus uncontrolled, when you break it down further it seems clearly related to how well the diabetes is controlled. Not controlled = immunocompromised state. Controlled = similar risk to general population. Which is exactly what the other posted article states.

Same for diabetes side affect risks. The less controlled it is, the more likely someone will face ramifications from the disease (heart, vision, nerves etc.)

Virgin Peter Luger's steak vs Chad Bloomin' Onion

who knows? My sister had Covid while her husband is an obese diabetic and got nothing. I don’t get it. This virus is very selective.

when people are talking about being higher risk, they don't mean catching it. they are talking about the risk of dying or needing a ventilator if you get it. I don't think they have done enough testing including people with no symptoms to draw any conclusions about why some people might catch it and others didn't exposed to the same things.

yeah, but anybody with a compromised immune system can fall within that taxonomy. This time diabetics were mentioned. Next time they’ll mention cancer survivor, MS patient, high blood pressure, etc.

Like so many ailments, it appears those who are not deficient in Vitamin D increase the likelihood of battling through this. Hence, look at Florida. Are they lucky or is their Vitamin D levels higher due to the sun?

Tall boys were literally $18 for miller lite the last 3 games I went to in 19-20

How can anyone focus on having a hockey discussion with Peter Lugers on their mind.....

Only been to MSG once several years back but I was a kid so I don’t remember the price but it was cheaper than Rogers Arena in Vancouver. The parking at Rogers Arena is ridiculous, you have to pay an additional 40% “Translink Tax” on parking.

I actually don't care much for steak.

I have enjoyed the Texas de Brazil spreads before though.
