Larry Brooks of the New York Post wrote that the NHL is considering a 24-team Stanley Cup Playoff tournament this season. They will go directly to the playoffs. No regular season games. No fans. Ridiculous. He said that there will be two options for the seeding. One. Two. The top 12 in each conference. The top six of each division. One of the two. In the first option the Rangers would be the 11 seed. Not good. First round exit. Bad Draft Pick. No lottery. In the second option the Rangers would be left out for the Buffalo Sabres. Would they be in the lottery then? Bottom 7. There are good prospects this year. They're saying this is a great draft. One of the best drafts ever. And believe me, I've seen some great drafts. Did you see the 2003 draft? Eric Staal. Ryan Getzlaf. Zach Parise. Ryan Suter. This one could be just as good. Alex Lafreniere. Quentin Byfield. Tim Stutzle. Lukas Raymond. Alexander Holtz. Marco Rossi. Cole Perfetti. Anton Lundell. Jamie Drysdale. Noel Gunler. Dylan Holloway. Yaroslav Askarov. Connor Zary. Jan Mysak.

Pierre LeBrun reported Bill Daly, the deputy commissioner of the NHL, said they are still working on plans for the draft. When will it be? What will the order be? You people are always in such a rush for information. He says there is no rush. When they figure it out they will let everyone know. "There is no urgency."

Incredible

I love this.

Brendan Leipsic..just released is he worth a look..despite his dumb comments?
well Avery said stuff and they took him back so who knows. id only give him a tryout if I was desperate. but if he is a bad locker room type than no thanks

You're thinking of the coastal towns like New Haven and whatnot

lol, yeah New Haven is a real booming town.

Fairfield County, Madison and West Hartford is more like it. As far as summer homes, they go out East through RI and the Cape.

Unfortunately not. I've been to Binghamton, SWB, Bridgeport, and Hershey. I also saw Charlotte when they were in the ECHL.

Depending on when that was, you either saw the Checkers in Spectrum Arena (formerly Time Warner) or the Bojangles Coliseum, where they play now. Do you remember which?

Yup. New Haven is another shit hole but there’s a nice nightlife there with all the bars. Great pizza too. That’s about it.

People's tolerance for drama is usually tied pretty closely to the potential ROI.

Avery, despite everything he's remembered for, was at one time a fairly productive NHL player as well.

oooh yeah, the Pizza is good. Has enough nightlife to support the college life. Might as well rename the City “Yale”.’ They own almost all the property. Crime wise, what a disaster.

With the current social climate, it would be political suicide to sign him. I think he is off to the KHL or SHL.

except he didn’t get got bc of politics.

he said all kinds of stupid shit about his teammates and ex teammates wives.

If he only said dumb things about strangers he would have been fine.

The NHL should be ready to roar out of the gates to chip in to help the economy back on track, hopefully no time is wasted because the brass haven't had time to "figure it out" the last months...

Would rather not have someone who openly talks shit about his teammates, their families, and basically anyone they come in to contact with on this team.
Hard to have someone in a locker room who might go talk shit about your family on social media.
