This what I want. Please make happen:

Kreider zibby panarin
Nylander lias zucc
Kravtsov chytil buch
Vesey Namestnikov fast

Skjei pionk
Skjei pionk
Skjei hajek

Henrik

Let's not exaggerate here. He has hardly cost the Rangers any games and has made himself visible with what little ice time he does get. I believe that given what he is getting as far as ice time, it is better to have someone like him than an utter waste of space like Holland. But this is really splitting hairs as none those players would make any more of a difference. Of all those, it wold be nice to see Fogarty get a chance, but again so low minutes and not play at center? As for the rest, meh. Them playing would not result in one more goal for the Rangers scored or given up.
If that’s how you feel about him we should just agree to disagree. He’s looked like utter trash and a waste of space to me and all of his stats point to that as well. I’d rather see if any of the Hartford players are worth keeping around personally. It would serve us better to see if any of them will be around when we’re ready to compete again. I feel McLeod shouldn’t be, and hopefully won’t be.

Oh so no Howden as part of the future plans? You know the 21 year old center who has been blossoming in front of us?

There have been a couple of hiccups where MacLeod ended up on the wrong end of the penalty call but I think he sets the tone for the style of play we all want, abrasive, in your face and sticking up for each other. He isnt going to score much if at all, and I would have preferred Rousell as he is a better player but he has played the way I'm sure the coach wants him to and within his own abilities. I tend to think that adding someone without his willingness to actually drops the gloves to the roster and removing him makes everyone a little less abrasive, and I know I'm gonna get abused for that comment but I've played enough hockey that I know everyone stands a little taller when they have someone that will back them up.

I cant remember exactly which game it was but he did cost them one game because his line was pinned and he was too slow to help get the puck out, leading to an eventual goal that swayed the whole game. It was a couple weeks ago. This has happened a couple times where his line was pinned and in reality he cost them the goal because he is pretty much a cone out there, which leads to us having no possession and screwing up the balance/flow of the game.

Anyways I absolutely prefer him over Holland and some others. He sticks up for his teammates. But he is a terrible, terrible hockey player.

Cody McLeod:

doesn't hit
sucks at fights
doesn't score
doesn't get any points whatsoever
Doesn't enforce anything

Pumping up Hank. The last bloody thing we need.

He has made himself visible like a zebra in a world-class orchestra.

Where is this myth that he sticks up for his team mates coming from? He did nothing in the Nashville game. He throws a few random hits a game and rarely fights anyone that takes liberities with our team.

The Montreal game was the first hint of him attempting to, and he wasn't able to do so without putting the Rangers short for 4 minutes.

Over the dynamic Namestnikov? Ok fine throw em in...but make it happen

My point was if we draft a FRANCHISE center so a guy that by definition would be a better player than Zibanejad, I’d love to keep him and move him to wing where as a shooter I think he’d thrive with a guy like that feeding him

Yeah. Put Zbad on the left wing. Hayes Center, Buch on the right. Hayes can set these guys up all day from their favorite spots.

Not for nothing we acquired

3 first round picks in 2017

Andersson
Chytil
DeAngelo (I include DeAngelo just because he’s a former first rounder included in Stepan deal)

3 first round picks in 2018

Kravstov
Miller
Lundkvist

We’ll almost certainly have 3 more this year.

That’s a hell of a lot of talent to add in a 3 year period. That’s not including Howden who’s another first rounder or Hajek a very highly touted second rounder.

This team is going to be ready to go back to the playoffs very quickly imo.

You add Panarin this summer and you’re going for the playoffs right away. The teams around us aren’t very good. Just aren’t and the caps and penguins eventually have to start falling off probably around the time we are going back up. We’ll have a head start on them.

Probably pointed out already, but you forgot Howden

I see you haven't been on HFNYR in a while. The 12th man is by far the most important player on the team.

I still think the 2016 draft might be the second most important draft for us thus far.

When you look at the draft the Rangers have been able to “reconstruct” from that year:

1. Howden 27
2. Hajek 37, Lindgren 49
3. Day 81
4. Reunanen 98
5. Rykov 132, Gettinger 141
6. Fonataine 171, Wall 174
7. Ronning 201

You’ve got one kid already in the NHL and a total of 7 who have already signed pro contracts in North America — 8 after this season.

Obviously not all of them are going to be mainstay players in the NHL, but they’ve certainly given themselves some pretty good potential.

It looks so much better now.

What would it take to get Sprong from Pitt.? They don't have much cap room. We could take Hagelin back if it was necessary since he's on his last year. Zucc for Sprong, Hags, and a 1st? McQuaid for Sprong straight up? They're probably not that down on Sprong yet, though.

If that 16 draft is the second most important we’re in trouble. We just drafted Lias Chytil in 17 Kravstov Miller Lundkvist in 18 and will have 3 or 4 1st rounders in 19.

Howden and Hajek will be solid players for us. Rykov I like as well but we’ll see when he gets over where he slots in.

Read the post again pleaseeeeee. Second time someone said this for some reason.

I literally wrote “ not to mention Howden and Hajek”
I totally missed it originally lol but I did think you wouldve grouped in the 2018 acquisitions, but its semantics lol

Sprong is a guy that intrigues me. Tremendous skater and great shot. His play outside of the offensive zone needs some serious work though. He may be a guy that needs a fresh start. No idea what Pitt would want. Rutherford seems to like to trade for/swap struggling yet high talent guys.

Not to sound like a broken record but this team needs guys that can and want to shoot the damn puck.

He has done it all year this year, under AV he was useless but this coach appreciates a gritty game. Cody leads the league in fights with 4 and he was 3rd last year so I'm not sure why you think he rarely fights anyone who takes liberties, he isnt pulling these fights out of the air.
