I could easily see them wanting Zuccarello, since he’d essentially be the Nylander replacement. He’d have to be extended, so that does present a problem. But really, he’s a perfect fit.

But any of the options you laid out would be more attractive to a win-now team than prospects.

We’d definitely be the ones adding in that scenario, but who knows what they’d want other than Brady.

I think It would hurt too much to move him. He has a great two way game, and should be in our top 4 for a long time.

That has to be the target if you're Gorton. It seems like there are a couple decent packages the Rangers can put together to send a forward and defenseman without sacrificing the building block young players.

I still think buchnevich and Pionk is a great offer for nylander. They get the righty dman they need (and we’ve been playing him ridiculous mins In every situation) plus they get a skilled top 6 righty going forward to grow with their group and will cost a shit ton less.

No one else is giving them that. And just as importantly no one else is giving them that With guys THAT CHEAP. Pionk and buchy cost nothing

We then could give ADA more mins. We could move smith back to right d where he probably is better, and opens up a spot for hajek in a couple months.

Kreider Zibanejad Nylander is then a legit top line.

He's playing the Paul Carey/Brandon Pirri role this year. Gotta keep the tradition going of odd non-4th line type wingers consistently floating on the 4th line.

Those two guys occasionally contributed to the team. Lettieri has literally not done a thing positive since his first game in the league

People hating on McLeod can't be blamed on analytics. He's just a terrible player. I don't think anyones gonna complain if we found someone for the 4th line that played a real physical game and was not killing the team.

No one is blaming analytics. People, myself included, are pointing out that his presence in the line up has an effect on the way the rest of the team plays. It is an intangible asset. That is why Quinn dresses him and more than likely will continue to dress him?
