I blame all of this chaos on Halloween.

It's all good until you have that Halloween party and all these WAGS show up.

Then Harley Quinn slips off into the coat room with the wrong Batman and all Hell breaks loose.

This is why the new hammer and sickle siding with the players over the owners blows my mind. Players care more about their relationship with their friends than winning.

Only in NY. In Colorado, Florida, Tampa, Vegas, etc. winning is everything. It's why they arent afraid to overhaul the team every few years. Hopefully the news today is a sign that drury agrees.

This will not be a one-off. Excising Trouba takes care of one issue but Drury has spent the week in trade talks with multiple clubs with The Post learning that Ottawa’s Brady Tkachuk has become the Rangers’ primary target.

A trade for the Senators’ 25-year-old hardscrabble captain would immediately change the Blueshirts’ identity. The package going the other way would obviously have to be significant and could very well include Alexis Lafreniere.
Trading Laf for Tkachuk would be a wild blockbuster type deal this fanbase hasn't seen in a very long time. I can't even remember the last time we did something like this.

It absolutely is a message. Be better, stop whining or be traded.

It is meant to be a message lavy. Stop being such a p***y. It’s a message to the old rotten core that they suck and aren’t going to run the asylum.. stand on business you p***y

Ripping your captain out of your roster mid season by any means necessary, including waivers is not meant to be a message. Makes total sense bud

I'm just the messenger. Y'all coming at me with a Trouba flying elbow lol

Yeah I dont' think Ottawa is trading Tkachuk uless they're terrified of his contract

If a deal happens it will look something like this.

I'm dating myself but look back on what Dany Heatley got Ottawa from San Jose. Milan Michalek who was an aging middle six winger and a bunch of trash. Cheechoo was a flash in the pan. I look back and laugh at what HF thought he would get.

100% agree. these guys never return what people spout off. its almost always underwhelming

I'd rather keep Laf, but there is no bigger symptom of a bad team culture than the floating he did after signing his big contract. Strong leadership in the room would not have allowed that.

100%. Chabot and Fox together would be f***ing phenomenal.

Gotta assume Ottawa wouldn’t do it without a pick going back.
Agree. I'd send another prospect not named Perreault back.

If the roster gets nuked, this could be a top 10 pick. If the pick is deferred and you have a transition year next year, next year could be the same.

If you're going to blow this up, keep the 1st rounders.

He has a NMC that kicks in on July 1. He’d only be traded if the team has gotten a whiff of a Tkachuk family power play coming once that takes effect.

If you get Chabot and Tkachuk for that trade package, this team is not being blown up imo.
