Roster Building Thread: Part XIV (To trade or not to trade is the question)

Wonder if Zibanejad will come on the ice tonight with the C on his jersey? It's possible they think jettisoning Trouba, and then elevating Zibanejad to an even bigger leadership position, will help him get more invested and turn his game around.
That’s absolutely the worst possible thing management could do. Literally…the worst.

Even if you love Drury it’s hard to deny that this should have happened in the off season. If trouba put up a stink about being traded and he couldn’t get the deal done, waive him right then and there. I’m sure he would have liked a return for him but sometimes you gotta rip the bandaid. Now the team is in a tail spin, wasn’t worth the wait.

Drury's not blameless (and he shouldnt be finished with the roster overhaul) but he deserves credit for turning Goodrow and Trouba into free cap space.

Hope so. Then he can get traded or waived too. The Rangers and the "C". Doesn't end well. No wonder Kreider didn't want it.

I’m with you on trouba, that’s a huge benefit. He doesn’t get goody though, he’s the one who signed him to that deal in the first place lol
