Been calling for waivers for a week. Nice to be vindicated. Trouba's behavior was wildly unprofessional since the summer. Nice guy, bad captain and teammate. he can still do charity work for whatever team he ends up on.
Oh noooo. Waivers? I've been told that will destroy the locker room. These poor lads wont know what to do.
You’re probably looking at a deal that starts with Miller, and includes Kakko, plus more, if you’re going for quantity/quality. What forward off the team is being moved in that deal?If the Rangers made a deal for Brady Tkachuk, I think they would want to keep Kakko/Chytil/Laff. Mostly to create a new "core" that play a different style of play (play deep in the Ozone/cycle/crash the net). Enough of the perimeter game.
Start with Miller if they wouldn't want Shesh.
If that scenario happens you have to give Drury creditStaple saying Trouba is going to get claimed like Goodrow. Drury deleting another 8mil albatross without attaching assets. Masterclass?
The first sack Drury has shown in years. Oh? you dont like that I waived your buddy Goodrow? Have another while you're at it, and stop whining and play better.
We get the cap space. That’s all I’m interested in.waivers would be so lame dude. I get it but like, damn we can't get anything for him?

Same boat. I like him as a player. It sucks when the team gets these guys I actually like and things blow up. Similar vibes as Shattenkirk for meIt's come, but it is still sad. I like Trouba, but a real collection of unforseen events and a few missteps on the part of the GM made his last 2 years here tougher than they needed to be. Wonder where he will go.
If they manage to unload all 8M of his salary, you're talking about all the flexibility in the world to make changes.
Mancini will be better and cheaper. Schneider is now 2RD, which he earned.
