honestly, fox shouldnt be completely untouchable either.

the plan is there. build around laf, cuylle, schneider, and hopefully gabe. get picks and maybe a good prospect that can step in for guys like kreider/lindgren/trocheck/fox. try and add a big piece thats more in line with these guys ages (ie tkachuk). you have your goalie. time to rearrange the rest of the deck.

unfortunately getting rid if mika will be easier said than done. we may just have to hope he can wake the f*** up and at least be valuable as a 3C who’s a PP specialist

Soft tampering!

Jacob has a career in politics. He is good at staying on the perimeter . Like Mika.

MJ and Gord tried to get into the good stuff, regarding words said and Drury making his moves . He said the same crap . He was called and forced out. Not what he wanted, wanted to be here to turn it around. Wasn't meant to be.
He is happy to be in Anaheim blah blah blah. Similar situation to when he became a Ranger.

Now talking art and painting woman. Got creepy, wanted to vomit and went into the gym

I think even your stats show how unlikely it is to get NHL players outside of the first round. Does it happen? Sure. Do the Rangers seem to be pretty good at getting something from the second rounders? Sure.

But still, it's just not a great bet to make.
We've had our firsts in most of the drafts dating back to Gorton taking over, actually.

"The Rangers don't have the draft capital to get players" is becoming a meme.

Trouba wanted to be in NY because the art scene is lucrative, and he was making 6 million the next 2 seasons whether he was dogging it or not (which he was).

I could see Trent Frederic being of interest to the Rangers. He'll be 27 years old, so on the younger end of UFA, plays with a major edge, can play center or wing. Hopefully won't cost TOO much

our two lower first/2nd round picks are currently our most impactful players (positive)
Chytil and Cuylle.
The highest picks at this point I have no idea what they are (Lafreniere/Kakko/Miller). They should be game changers and they are not. Just disappointing.

Underrated point that I didnt think about. Buch was a sourpuss his entire time in NY. Always miserable on the bench, even during the KZB days. It was a meme at one point. I guarantee the team did not like a veteran like him getting into a car accident with their rookie superstar goalie late night in Sheepshead Bay (largely Russian neighborhood in Brooklyn for those who dont know).

And the game after the Wilson incident, you are right. Everyone fought. except Buch, who cheapshotted Mantha with a crosscheck to the face (which got him a 3 game suspension) instead of dropping the gloves. It was a horrible trade but there was definitely more to it. This stuff matters.
His nickname in the locker room was "Mr. Happy" for a reason.

I loved American Buch, though.

Keegan Kolesar is another one who may be of interest. RW
Pass. He sucks.

I wanna find the next Sam Bennett, not sign Sam Bennett at 29.

Those types of players churn out bad contracts with the same efficiency that they churn out hits.
Othmann could be a version of that. Bennett generally was an under 30pt player until he was 25.

Cuylle is the next Sam Bennett. He is on pace to beat Bennet's career high in points by a lot this year. The issue is we need more than 1 player like that. Preferable 3-4 or more would help.
Him and Othmann.
