So back to what he always does. Good stuff.

Can someone teach defense, and to complete a pass, and not leave the zone to early.

Also, how about moving as a team and not just blindly tossing pucks up the boards.

maybe the Rangers should have had hired a defensive coach that was a defensive style of player. Bringing in Housley is like if they brought in Leetch as a defensive coach. I really doubt a former offensive skilled player would know how to coach defensive hockey in today’s NHL.

Most people here might be all for ripping it down to the studs but I'm not sure the organization is ready to punt the season just yet.

By doing nothing they are punting the season. The same roster had the franchise's best season ever last year and still got manhandled by Florida. We're wasting our time with every game we run out the same players.

I bet if Drury’s owner was not Dolan he would have made moves

Dolan’ a job is to sell jerseys and invite famous celebrities to the games

Until Dolan is gone, nothing will change. Ive come to accept that sadly

I just don't think it's gonna happen in December. Nor should it, you'll get more for guys at the deadline. They still deserve like half a season to right the ship, in my opinion. In the meantime if they could lose one of Trouba or Lindgren, that would be great.

Yeah, they’d rather go for the 100 yard field goal. And their kicker sucks and has a bad attitude.
That seems excessive.

I mean yes, I’m annoyed at this franchise, so it is excessive. But do you think this team can win? Do you think THEY think it can win?
I don't know. With the emergence of Cuylle I thought they'd find some more scoring balance. Laff started hot, Chytil looked great, Kakko is playing well. I honestly thought Zib would rebound. I didn't expect Troch to go MIA for as long as he did. I figured D would be problematic but not to this extent. I also didn't expect the GM to go full moron so early in the year.

I so t think we need to rip down tto the studs. We need to change the leaky roof (vets) before they rot the beams (kids).

Once the kids get all the bad habits, then it goes to the studs. Right now its just 3-5 players

Yeah my expectations are pretty low—I just want to hear what his thoughts about the future of the team are. How is he going to right the ship? I think he owes that to the fans. I don’t care how often other gms do that.

I don't know if you're going to get that nor do I think it would help much. He needs to move on from a defenseman and If the reason he hasn't waived Trouba or Lindgren yet is because he's holding out for a sweet return, I think that would be a mistake. It sounds dumb but this team needs to find its swagger. Where's 'in your face' Troch been? You can't play hockey tight. It's a recipe for disaster.

Lol I definitely would have called it meaningless. Im a fan of the Rangers, not individual players. And why are we the Buffalo Sabres if we trade a 34 with 4 even strength goals and a bad back? Do you enjoy watching what we've watched for the last month?
I guess you haven’t enjoyed the last 3 years as much as I have.

They arent playing an "in your face" style, because the guy who is supposed to be our big tough captain couldn't be bothered. The only reason he fought Anderson is because he had to answer for the heat on Barron at the beginning of the season. And he got ragdolled. They played more like this when they had Rempe in the lineup last year. But thats not sustainable when hes barely an NHL player.

This team gets walked all over by teams who play fast, physical and with swagger. Our top guys have none of that. Call it crisis of confidence or whatever but this team loses the battles in front of both nets on a nightly basis. They dont have to play for the mean GM, but have some pride and play for yourselves and your poor goalie. Igor has made them all look good for years.

The Rangers are skating today. I assumed the team would have the day off. These guys need time for Christmas shopping.

Igor's contract. Some teams could offer $13M AAV. 7 years. $91M. That same $91M over 8 seasons is $11.375M AAV. The Rangers have offered $88M over 8 years. $3 million more. Really?!?!
It's about ego. It's not enough to be the highest paid goalie of all time. He has to be the highest paid player based on percentage of cap. When people are looking up how much he makes, he doesn't want an asterisk next to his name.

Staple at 18:10: "More important than 13 million is, why does he want to be here if this is the way the team is going to play? I've had this conversation with a lot of people around the league and a lot of people I know from other teams are like "Great, we're going to get ready to try to sign this guy on July 1 because if he doesn't want to be there, we want him here." So he is going to get his 13M, maybe we're talking 14M depending on who is making the offer. If it becomes a bidding war on July 1, it's going to go way, way up. I think the question right now is with all the turmoil the last few weeks if you're talking about Igor, does he even want to be here for his asking price, which is probably 13 and change at this point. And I don't know what the answer is to that."
