Can we get Gudas for Trouba/Lindgren? Larry mentioned the Ducks as a trade partner. Looking to shake things up. Nashville too. I always think of Novak and Lauzon because of past rumors. Stammer for Mika? Pipe dream? Big music town for Meeka

Live look in at Trocheck chasing Lindgren

they're gonna have to package picks/prospects with Trouba or Lindgren to get anything of value back and it's probably not worth it.

There was a Kakko interview (don't know when it was done but last week probably) released today on a Finnish newspaper. And I do wonder if the reason Kakko's name was put out there by CJ and Dreger is that his agent is doing some calls.

Do note, this is translated by me, not exactly word to word because Finnish is cryptonite for Google Translate.

I might go through the entire thing and translate the other stuff on his thread, where he talks about playing with Cuylle and Chytil, his brief stint as the center
You have a link to the interview? I don't seem to find it anywhere.

You know who looks pretty unhappy? Sorokin. Rangers shake things up by making a massive trade with the Islanders. Zibanejad and Shesterkin for Barzal and Sorokin.

They’re BFFs. This way they don’t have to move. Or they can get wild and swap teams, houses, wives, etc.

And while he's a nice player, he's certainly not a in the 'irreplaceable' category, especially as we don't know what kind of contract he's looking for. Could you move him out as part of a trade that brings back a top-4 d which also allows to either move Miller as well for more changes, or at least get rid of Lindgren, and replace 70-80% of what he brings to the current team with what we have in the wings (pun intended) at 30% of his current cap-hit?
Wow, it's a nice player.
There's people that think the team is too soft because they want to see them cycle, skate through contact, play down low, and go to the middle.

Larry thinks the team is too soft because nobody threw a spear at Jack Hughes and then used his pelt to build shelter.

It's not the same thing.
Think I saw Chris Simon try and do that once

This might be confirmation bias on my part but I think they are dead on with this being a psychologically weak team. If they are still griping about Goodrow, man, what a fragile team. I've been calling for Mika to stay late every practice and do 100 reps of his signature PP one-timer which we have not seen in like over a year. Get back to competition drills. Get back to winning those 50-50 board battles. Whoever the sports psychologist is on staff needs to carry their weight too.

Lindgren served his purpose. If no one wants him as depth d-man for a 3rd at the TBL you just let him go in the off season and scratch him for the end of the season. No point in giving away additional assets

they will absolutely not have to add picks or prospects for Lindgren and it wouldnt shock me if they only had to retain on trouba

Retention on Lindgren would be enough. Depending on who is a buyer, you might not even need to retain. We know the guy is cooked, but he fits a certain profile that the Good Old Boys Club around the league loves. Someone would say, "This is the perfect addition to my third pair and PK heading into the playoffs." And if no one wants him you just hold onto him and let him walk. There's no reason to attach an asset.

Trouba, he's a more difficult one to peg. He's also a shit player, but he's also one of those guys that the GOB Club tend to like. Now I think everyone is aware of what happened in the summer, and how badly he has played (even by his standards) this season, but I'd wager there are some GMs who think they're smarter than everyone that could "put him in a good position" and he'd get back on track. Of course, will they be afraid that they're acquiring a guy that doesn't want to be there? Throw out that last part and I think you get a decent return for retention only. But with that fear of him being a malcontent, it will be a lot more difficult.

I want them to take and own space, particularly the hard areas of the ice. I don't care if they accomplish that via hitting, stickwork, body odor, or voodoo.

I would also like to impale Jack Hughes with a spear, why are you acting like those are mutually exclusive 🤣
As long as good players do the latter, I'm not against it, but Larry has literally never suggested a good player.

Pagnotta: "Everyone knows Trouba is available, everyone knows Kakko is available, everyone knows Kreider is available, and so on. So yes, Drury is still continuing having trade conversations with other clubs. I do think and have gotten the sense over the last few days that Kakko's name is a little bit more prominent right now as they try to bring in somebody that can slot into their top 6 and maybe Kakko is the main piece that gets moved out."

Says he doesn't think Laviolette's job is in danger.

Kakko isnt available unless its an overpay - pagnotta is a hack

These bozos probably have the same take as the rest of the league. Did no one watch the Florida series last year? He was one of the chief reasons we lost.
