They depend highly on the cost. I wouldn't part with a sure fire player like fast for any of them. I'm big fans of those players but their current teams don't need a life line from us and I'm not big on acquiring question marks for proven commodities.
 
Random thought...Gorton loved Keller in his draft year and wanted to make a deal for him. Would you trade McDonagh for Domi and Keller?

Arizona wouldn’t do that.

Keller is one of the new faces of the franchise. McDonagh is guaranteed to walk in a year and a half. It’s not worth it from here prospective.

Deadline:
Nash to Tampa for a 1st in 18’ and Foote
Grabner for a 1st
Holden for a 3rd
Ryan McDonagh and one of the late 1st for Joel Eriksson-Ek, Kaprizov and Brodin

At draft:
Shatty, Vesey and Nieves to EDM for Puljujarvi
Marc Staal @4.5m to Carolina for Marcus Kreuger
Jonas Brodin, JT Miller and one of the late 1st and our 1st in 19’ for OEL and Max Domi
Draft Brady Tkachuk

Kreider-Domi-Buch
Ziba-Lias-Puljujarvi
JEE-Chytil-Zucc
Kreuger-Hayes-Fast

Wonder if he just becomes a summer trade at this point, rest doesn't seem like it's going to fix the injury he has. Assuming he will need off-season surgery, will any team give up top assets for the two playoffs runs if on one of those runs, he is already injured?

Rest will definitely heal a broken bone.

Doubt surgery is required. If it were, he would have had it already.

Was not aware of the broken hand rumor. Ain't that NYR luck, can't even get out of a fire sale in one piece.
 
Listening to the full Bobcast, and this was mentioned in the Sabres section, but has merrit in regards to Nash:

Sounds like they're having a hard time getting the 1st+prospect+lesser roster player that they want, but would take a Martin Hanzel type return (1st+2nd or 1st+prospect). This was mentioned for E Kane, but Bob talked about it as an issue Gorton has likely faced as well.

I'll take a 1+2 or 1+prospect for Nash.
