Is Zibanejad definitely staying as part of the new, younger core? Or is it possible he's available along with Zuccarello and McDonaugh? Wondering if the Rangers would think about it if a blue chip prospect was offered.

You have to keep him. He isn't perfect but he's hard as hell to replace.

Sell now even if it's for just picks. Guy looks like Lindros after his first NYR concussion.

Honestly I think they'd think about it

I don't have an issue with Zibanejad really except that in his two seasons so far he's had a significant injury derail his season so it makes it tough to evaluate him well. Is he "injury prone"? what's his ceiling if he stayed healthy? etc etc

I kind of doubg the Rangers are gonna go scorched earth here, they probably have some guys they definitely want to keep as a core of the team...I'd guess guys like Skjei on defense, maybe Hayes and Buch, Fast up front, maybe Zibanejad...you can't trade literally everyone, but I could see some guys being available that surprise us

Not sure that's the case at all.

It absolutely is.

If hes your guy, you get out ahead of the endless speculation that will take place over the next few months and squash it. If he truly believes in AV and was dead set on keeping him around, he would have said so as there is no reason not to say anything at that point.

My guess is he's waiting to see what Chicago does with Q.

I think everyone is available. I think Zibanejad is back because I don't think is value is at its peak. And they do need to able to ice a team....

True, but the last time we did this we sold almost everyone. Nedved, Barnaby, Leetch, Kovalev, Simon, Malakov, De Vries.

Although everyone in that last sentence was 30 or older.

Good news boys
Ran the lottery sim and today is the first time Rangers got the #1 pick in one try
(Obviously this is far from accurate but nice to see)
Can I like this over and over again... I mean I know it’s only a simulation but.....

“So your saying there’s a chance!!!!”

If we trade Zucc I'm bandwagoning whatever team he ends up on to win the cup.

Unless it's Pittsburgh.

I think a McDonagh deal is super difficult to get done at the deadline but a Zucc deal, similar to a Yandle trade age and value wise, could be really good for the team. The whole loved and respected NYR makes me think Zucc.

This whole press conference and message to the fans is very sensible if they're bracing for the backlash of trading Zucc.

Farewell Hobbit.

The letter said "reshaping" not "rebuild". Have they used rebuild in the press conference?

Are you also a fellow truther in the real ending of Old Yeller where he did go off to a farm with lots of space to roam to his heart's content?
