Wow it’s hard to believe that between Howden, Hajek, Lundqvist, whoever we can get by flipping Namestnikov, and whoever we draft with TBs pick next year, that anyone could still be complaining about losing McD and Miller.

This might end up being more of a steal than the insane return we got for Nash.

Nobody is complaining about this trade, it was a good trade, and no it is not more of a steal than the Nash trade, especially now that he has 1 foot out the door of playing hockey.

I did not realize that Lias won the top Rookie in this year's camp. Isn't it a bit odd that he was awarded that and yet sent down in favor of 3 other rookie forwards?

Hagelin won rookie of the year in 2011 and was sent down. Fast won rookie of the year in 2014 and was sent down.

SO really the plan is to deal Hayes for picks and prospect and go w Zib, Andersson , Chytil, Howden down the pipe. Gonna take a few years but should be a good group

Likely same for Zuc and bring Kravtsov next yr

I would be in on the WN sweepstakes. Say it costs us Skjei. Hayes, Zucc and McQuaid will combined bring us back more than that on D. Names and/or Spooner should bring back a couple picks. Keep filling the cupboard with a few short term FAs whilst the kids fill out and step up.

I really hope we don't wait until the deadline to dump a lot of these guys. I'd rather LA, amongst others, be in the NHL. Spooner, Vesey, Hayes, Names, Zucc. It will be a pain to have them play the whole season at the expense of younger kids in the AHL only to move them at the deadline.

I would be surprised if the D was anyone else than Skjei which puts it in a bit of a different light.

I love Skjei and don’t love the value of that trade, OTOH top offensive talents like Nyls are certainly a bit harder to get than LDs so I do think it’s a trade I would do.

Its funny, this was not even close lol.

What was said was that "There is talk about a trade between Zuccarello and Nylander, it is rumored." and then some more along that line.

bbkers surely nails the origin of the rumor, these guys know Michael Nylander really well.
