I don't know enough Walman TBH, but I do know he's not a salary dump costing a 2nd, especially with all the cap the Red Wings have (yes, they have big RFAs but still).

He's going to play, not like he's going to refuse to report. He has earned less so far during his career than what remains on his contract, he's not giving up on that.
