Still waiting for #88 on the Wings to force his way here

Ps...

Pats bad hip is better than your good one.

Pps. Check out Kanes acceleration from blueline in and subsequent beautiful wrister past Sorokin when you get a min.

For some reason i remember him playing center in Pitsburgh, maybe I'm losing my mind

I like his style regardless. Bit of a reckless player but i dont mind that. Dowd and Kuraly play that way too and are more natural centers, id love to add one. Bjugstad is a solid player but hes a bit of a gentle giant

Its just too bad. The guy has proven he can still score at essentially what has been an elite clip. Our focus could have been reserved for only the 3C. Or even better the assets couldve been used on say a Hanifin and a 3C. But the top 6 forward spot and 3C outweigh bringing in a Hanifin or Chychrun imo.

Thats gotta be a no for a lot of teams. He is going to be 30 at the start of next season. He has played a lot of hockey.

But as a rental right now I would take him. Except he will cost too much

I just think about the odd man rushes a line of Mika Kreider and Guentzel would cause. 3 guys you cant double. That would be a big move. I prefer Buch if they go that route because of the extra year but man it is fun to think about.

That's a trade I think long and hard about this summer. I think bringing Zegras back home to a winning team and away from the LA Tiktok houses will help him reach his potential. Trading for an injured softie like Zegras in the middle of a playoff push goes against everything we know about Drury

I agree with everything but the being less distracted bit. Giving that kid free rein in NYC would be equally distracting if not more so. I would make the trade considering his age and position, but he has country club written all over him.

I think we have solid American leadership (Fox, Kreider, Trouba, Trocheck) that would not allow that to happen

As much as I despise Guentzel, he would be quite the addition.

I still have us ending up with Eberle or Tarasenko for the winger. Then Gourde or Wennberg for the 3C

I have been told we have no leadership.

I think sometimes it slips in games or in season but these are all highly respected players

Id be down for that. Tarasenko i hope is saving it for the playoffs if we get him

How many of those will be there after this off-season?
Fox sure, but leadership isn't his strength.
Alot of people are advocating to ship trouba out.
The other crowd wants to ship CK (maybe even mika).

The Piles just scored their first empty netter of the season in game 59. That is almost impossible.

The only one that has a shot of being moved is Trouba and that's probably unlikely.

We would still need a 3C after Guentzel and that trade could really dip into the cupboard. I dont want Guentzel if it means Nico Sturm as the 3C instead of Gourde/Henrique/Wennberg. The 3C is critical imo and I would be ok with Eberle/Tarasenko to balance out the Top 9 for the playoffs.
