Bjugstad is lined up as their 2C tonight. I'm more interested if the Coyotes would move Hayton. He's on the top line now and would immediately fill the 3C void not just for now.

Coyotes went center with their last two very high picks. Hayton is an RFA, who knows what their money situation is.

I do like Zucker, he's just been so injury prone.

Rather go after McBain. Hayton is ok but he'd drive Rangers fans nuts. Hayton is too inconsistent and soft.

2 scouts for the Rangers at Yotes-Leafs. We play them Saturday obviously but maybe Drury is trying to corner the market on 6'6 forwards with Bjugstad. I like him and Zucker depending on the price.

GDT's are a cesspool. It doesn't matter what they do. I don't even bother anymore.

I've come to the conclusion that in the GDTs you have many on the edge of their seat watching the game, but on the cusp of explosive diarrhea and when a player dare makes a mistake - the bottom falls out right then and there. Those are when the great, steamy hot takes run wild.

btw i dont want to trade othmann at all....however if the deal truly is othman, goodrow, and a pick for zegras you guys would be out of your minds to not pull the trigger on that.

othmann and zegras are a year apart and zegras has already put up two 60 point seasons.....othmann will be a good player but give me a break people

Not for me, Zegras is the guy that gets you to the playoffs, Othmann is the guy that wins it for you.

absolutely, he's basically just as good as anyone that's available. not giving up assets for a minor upgrade at best.

Brodz is holding that line back from being a 2b line. He's fine on the 4th line but he adds nothing to that line. As soon as Kakko left that line it was toast.

Clearly the coaching staff knows that Miller-Fox as a pair is more effective offensively, because Lavi goes to it when we need a goal. The hesitance to switch the D pairs imo comes from A. Not wanting to play Trouba and Lindgren together because yikes and B. Fox's preference is to play with Lindgren. Probably a combo of both and a sprinkle of C. Schneider and Gus have been consistent as a pair all year (despite Gus being average since the first month of the season).

Brooks wrote today that Kakko succeeding in the top 6 could lead the the Rangers focusing more on 3C and D. I havent seen a single rumor from a credible source about the Rangers being interested in defense, so I hope Drury is cognizant of it and just operating under the fog of war while all the Western contenders and Tampa haggle over Tanev and Hanifin. I'd love for him to swoop in and add a top 4 guy, because I wouldnt see it as a rental. The D needs a revamp this summer, the extent of which will be determined by how we look in the playoffs.

Oliver Kylington looked pretty good in the two games I watched him in.
He’s fast and aggressive.

GDT’s are just meant to be fun, post silly stuff like gifs and memes, post play by play moments, and then the thread is locked. It’s not meant for deep discussions or to have deep conversations and debates about the team or players. It’s a live discussion to watch the game and discuss the play by play moments of the game with other Rangers fans.

I would not take most of that stuff in there too literally. Like we laugh, or cry, or yell when Shesty made that horrible misplay that leads to a goal, but at the end of the day we say Shesty has been very good since the ASG break. That bad play is but a distant memory to most of us, and we move on with the discussion.

I think because they don't see themselves as contenders this year and those players aren't in their long term plans. They'd rather have the assets.

My response was to the person who posted that Verbeek wouldn’t be at a Ranger’s game if he was interested in acquiring Gabriel Perreault.
My original post was that Verbeek might have an interest in Perreault, not that Drury should or would trade Gabe.

St Louis is falling out of the race. I’ll bring him back up because he would honestly be a really solid pick up for this year and next, Kevin Hayes. He can play center or RW. Big guy. Good on face offs. Good defensively and he is good at intercepting passes with his reach. He’s a guy much of the locker room knows. Hell even Trouba knows him from his short stint in Winnipeg.

His cap hit fits. The cost should be low and he’s fill a role for next year as well even if Chytil comes back.

Same here...why make the same mistake twice? Or, in the case of Buchnevich or Tarasenko, get fleeced two times with the same player.

I think Zucker would be a nice complement to Cuylle and Kakko
