Just a heads up won’t be doing the next two GDT’s saving it for the playoffs.

So whoever wants a crack at game #81 and #82 go for it. A mod will pin it and make it live for you.

There's no chance Chytil isnt going to play at some point if he is medically cleared. He has too much pride as a competitor. Cant imagine how difficult its been to sit out. Rangers needed this jolt after looking out of gas yesterday imo
The comments coming out are “he wanted to be with the team and practice”.
He’s playing.

I would hope at the very least that he does what Lindros did and Strome-ify his game to reduce the amount of contact he faces.

And yes, I believe Strome-ify is the best way to describe a player never going in corners or the crease.

The fact that his first practice back he isn't wearing a non-contact jersey is very telling.

Believe he was working with Jagr in Czechia on this back before the new year

Trouba getting dropped to third pair is something and it's deserved. The hope is that it's a kick in the ass because his AAV doesn't equate to third pair assignments and minutes.

Torts had the balls to drop Brad Richards down the lineup in the 2013 playoffs against Boston and then healthy scratch him for Games 4 and 5. I don't think Lavi will scratch Trouba but maybe this message will be just what the doctor ordered. Or shit. Maybe these d-pairs will be just what we need.

Interesting that Chytil may come back. He would be a boon if so. Could be on the 3rd line, don’t like him on the W but maybe he slows into RW 1

torts also ruins his own teams by doing stuff like that. Let’s not take torts as the shining beacon of meritocracies.

Torts got fired 48 hours after doing that and Richards was lights out in the 2014 playoffs. I dont think this is the example you want to use.

Really? I thought AV dropped him too. Not as a scratch but in the lineup, especially in the LA series. Am I remembering that wrong? And then Richards was bought out.

they said remainder of the season. nothing about playoffs.

They lied or didn’t think he would be back.

“Following a thorough evaluation of Filip Chytil after his recent setback from an upper body injury, it has been confirmed he will be out for the remainder of this season,” the team said in a statement. “The organization’s top priority throughout this process has been Filip’s health and we will continue to fully support him in his recovery with an aim to return for the 2024-25 season.”
