Vegas is a team to target for other teams this summer. Vegas will have a cap squeeze this summer especially if Hanifin stays there for $7M. Nevada has no state income taxes. Lehner will stay on LTIR. $5M. Marchessault is a free agent. He will 34 this December. However, he has 38 goals this season. How does Vegas afford him and Hanifin? Stepenson won't be back. Vegas traded Smith for a 3rd last summer to free up $5M.

We should absolutely monitor the FA market for Stephenson. With Chytili being a complete unknown moving forward, Stephenson would be a perfect replacement. Might be having a down year, however he can slot anywhere from 1C to 3C, but ideally he's your 3C who scores 50+ points, skates like the wind & is an elite PKer. If he's looking for $7M+, I'd look elsewhere, but for 6.5M or less, we should be in on him.

I get what you're saying, but if you can sign him for 6.25, that's still a great value. It's a little more than Vinny's deal, but the cap will be $9m higher by the summer of 2025.

The caveat is if the team is seriously going to make a run at McDavid in a couple of years, then you don't want to have another Center locked into to a long term deal. In that case I would figure they'll look at short term options.

Pretty sure it's how often we exit our own zone with possession, and then defense of possession exits is how well we stop opponents from doing it.

In terms of total: Laf, T-33rd in the league in penalties drawn with 23
In terms of Per 60: Rempe, 4th in the league in penalties drawn per 60 with 6.38
In terms of Net total: Zibanejad, T-34th in the league with 10
In terms of Net per 60: Edstrom, 19th in the league with 1.30 Net penalties per 60

If Chytil can't come back its a no brainier. Even if Chytil comes back its a good signing depending on how much he would want. He would be the only "big" forward signing I would make since Edstrom/Berard/Othmann should be ready or at least 2 of them. No need to spend any money on wingers.

I like the roster as it is and adding from the system. Wennberg and Roslovic should be affordable and do exactly what the team needs. I wouldn’t bother buying out Goodrow, I’d just ride out the deal. It’s sucky but he’s the only bad deal, really. Filter in the kids to cement a killer bottom six. Draft a bunch of defensemen and centers.

And regular season record is not really a great indicator for post season matchups, especially for a vet team like tampa. They’ll take a step once the playoffs start, now I can’t say if that’ll be enough to get over their shredded depth but that top core is still scary.

I want the Rangers to play Tampa and beat them.

I was curious about a top 6 forward who has not been mentioned in any of the , drawing a PP chance talk , leaders . I don't see his name so I guess my eyes are not failing me . I don't call it hating....as some like to do but rather just pointing out what is obvious when it comes to effort put forth at 5 on 5 .

He’s -2 this year, but if you do a 3 yr sample size he’s at +7 overall
