Roster Building thread - Part X - (TDL edition)

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. I still say "HI" when I have to to the local rambling homeless guy I run into near my local convenience store who thinks that Bill Gates is using the covid vaccine to zombify the planet.

But I still cast a wide berth to avoid said conversation if I have ample forewarning.

Homeless guy might be closer to the mark with his conspiracy theory than Bern is with those trade proposals, but I wouldn't want to engage with either of them.

Losing Lindgren for the playoffs would really suck because you are losing a lot of intangibles and toughness.

But replacing him with Jones in the lineup won’t be all that bad from a metrics standpoint. He’s fresh and hasn’t been through the grind either.

Trying to be positive here

Is it coincidence that all the players people have whined about all year are hurt. Trouba, Wheeler, and now Lindgren. I guess Goodrow should watch his back. This team can't afford any more D injuries. I don't know much about the guy they just got from Pitt. Can he play at all?

Means well is assuming that all his dumbass comments are sincere and not a giant troll.

We'll see. He's starting to show just enough elusiveness that I'm not as worried about it as I was before this stretch.

his size? he's the same size as Lindgren. "Zac Jones is too small to play playoff hockey" is nonsense. did you watch Florida last year? Montour and Forsling were both excellent and they're the same size as Jones.

now maybe baptism under fire, but if that, better late than never
and better now than 1st/2nd round of the POs

had an ok playoffs against us in 22 from what I remember. Brian Boyle is pretty big on him.

Jones is not the same size as Lindgren...and if he is (I'm out and can't google the size of either), Lindgren carries his weight MUCH better.

Trading him now unless it was some insane overpayment would be terrible. I think he, Miller and Fox lead the next core after Zib, Panarin, Kreider is done.

Well we're going to find out about Jones no matter what. There isn't another LHD better than him available to the team.

He's going to get slotted on the 3rd pair most likely and will be with Ruhwedel for at least a week if not more.

His size is definitely a concern, but he is a smart player and good skater. We'll see if he can sustain this for more than a short stint. I think he has a good chance to do just that.
