I can't decide who I hate more. McQuaid or McLeod.
Staal
Don't "hate" him. Hate the fact that he'll start another 70-80 games instead of a young player improving over the course of those games.

Happy Gilmore is not obscure. Grow up.
It's different because this season the expectations are different. But the decisions made on the young guys are the same. It's all in their best interest.different circumstances

Whatever we paid for him is a sunk cost at this point. I don't think letting him play up his value is beneficial if it comes at the expense of DeAngelo/Pionk getting playing time to develop their game. It's one thing if he came in after one of the two (or both) showed themselves clearly unable to handle NHL minutes, but considering that both of them significantly outperformed him in pre-season that is not the case yet - let them play themselves out of the lineup. Can we let McQuaid play a regular season game before writing him off. My god. Some of you are just intolerable. I mean wouldnt it make sense for him to play and do well so we can get a good ROI at the deadline.
Opportunity to post McDouble not realized. Sad!McBoth

I think ADA will be given plenty of games to show he belongs to stay. The only way he doesnt is if he falls on his face. I see a rotation of mainly McQuaid-Pionk at 35%-65% starts respectively, with some games where ADA is restedMcQuaid was a nice move as depth guy/lockerroom guy but he should not be playing over a 22 year old former first round pick who was probably the best dman in camp. That flies in the face of a rebuild/rebuild letter.
I just wanna watch little Jeff squirm. Not sure why anyone would bother asking a question that any answer that’s not “no comment” or “we have no interest” would be considered tampering.
It's not so much squirm as it is his entire face bunches up for a second or two, and then relaxes as he gives the answer.I just wanna watch little Jeff squirm.
Sather’s little quip about Hayes being in a position to make even more money next offseason than Gorton was ready to pay him this offseason is just horrid cap management.
They’re banking on him maximizing his value as a rental and relying on one of the kids to be ready to take his spot by February. It’s a really bad decision when our C corps is as raw as it as and we only have one legit NHL C, who just happens to have concussion issues.
I’ve been a fan of Gorton’s moves from last season, but this one still bothers me a lot. I’d be more comfortable if we had the wings to help carry the younger Cs, but we don’t.
This isn’t even a rebuild issue either for me. Go ahead and try to get Hughes, Turcotte, or Dach- I’d love to see them in Rangers sweaters. It’s poor insulation for younger prospects on a team that already doesn’t have depth. You need contingency plans, and we don’t have any at C right now.
Did they actually say this? I have no desire to watch the video, but christSather’s little quip about Hayes being in a position to make even more money next offseason than Gorton was ready to pay him this offseason is just horrid cap management.

What a bunch of ****ing goofs
I'm sure Hayes, who wants to be here long term, loved hearing that
“There were times I took one more step forward than I probably should have in trying to be aggressive, those changes weren’t natural. That took me out of my comfort zone,” said Lundqvist. “I probably tried to do too much. By doing that, I kind of lost my game plan.
“I need to play to my strengths. Looking at it over the summer and talking about it with [goaltending coach] Benny [Allaire], I’ve used this training camp to go back to my roots by being patient, playing deep in my net. It’s what I trust. It’s my game. It’s who I always was as a goalie."
I'm reading this article, and I am no goalie, but it sounds like Henrik is going back to relying on his reflexes and athleticism to make saves?
Which seems like it could go poorly
