How can every team know that shot is coming when 22 PP units in the league more frequently focused on having one guy take the shots?

The Rangers responsibility is to themselves - not to Jones career. If Jones doesn't like that role he's able to request a trade but no guarantee it happens since I doubt anyone will send something of enough value to make it worthwhile unless there is a team willing to trade a competent veteran dman for him (more of a Holden type than one of these AHL scrubs).
How does every team not know the shot is coming when teams other than NYR do it.

What are you even arguing here?

I said nothing about shot share. You bring up shot share vs other players.
I said nothing about NYR being the only team wanting that shot. You bring up other teams doing it more frequently, focused on having one guy take the shot.

Are you having a conversation with somebody else?

Yup. I think Laf looked fine last night, and add chytil to that mix instead of goodrow who did nothing, I think thats 2 lines who can control play and a 3rd who shuts things down.

I would prefer Domingue to Cooked but I know that is not happening.
Other than that IF Cuylle is making the team I like your lineup. Hate Lafreniere at RW but it is what it is. Kakko gets to play with some real players and Cuylle gets top 9 minutes.
I also think Lindgren should stay with Fox. They both know each other and play like it.
I guess Late game situations if necessary throw Miller up with Fox.

Lines are perfect, kinda prefer Pitlick to Bonino but maybe thats just preseason bias
Yeah Pitlick may fit a bit better with Laviolette's system? He definitely looked pesky in the preseason.
Bonino looks too damn slow but I guess he does other things well.

Cuylle sticking means Laffy is permanent RW , no?
If you want Cuylle to get top 9 minutes which he should get then yes.
Or could Cuylle fit better with Panarin and Chytil? I mean Cuylle drives the net and shoots but if he is better at LW keep him at RW to start.

I like the lines. I still foresee us signing Kane.

I would prefer Kreider to go down to the 3rd line LW but given his chemistry with Zibanejad and that Kakko seems to be fitting in there we probably leave that alone. And since I want to see Lafreniere stay in the 2RW spot, can Wheeler play LW? I have a feeling he would make the shift and attempt to play LW.

Kreider - Zibanejad - Kakko
Panarin - Chytil - Lafreniere
Wheeler - Trocheck - Kane
Cuylle - Goodrow - Vesey
Pitlick, Bonino

I could see Pitlick being sent down/waived to get the increased cap space to sign Kane and LTIR him

One of the worst run organizations in sports. Built 110% on being entertaing. Not winning.
Drury is a Dolan tool.
Prove me wrong with science.
The Rangers are built on being entertaining? Seriously? They are built on being “classy” and “professional” and “slow” and “predictable” based on what I see. Entertaining? This team?

It is Dolan run with Dolan analytics.
They could be a bunch of jerks and win.
The folks who wanted classy and professional continue to loose in Montreal and Columbus
They caant even do that right

I'm excited for this season, i hope we continue to see progression out of Kakko, Chytil and Miller, as well as Lafreniere finally turning a corner. If all that happens we're a better team than last year. Gustafson >>>>>>>>Harpur and our bottom 6 is way better than last year.

Congrats to Cuylle making the big club.

He earned it. I like the decision. I think this team could not only use his skillset but also an interjection of a rookie forward.

Jones should thank him, because having his fists in the lineup also made it easier to waive Harpur.

Harpur's play kept him out of the lineup, if they needed fists they'd just keep Rempe up.

surely you can't both hope for, and not give a rats ass about something? Wouldn't one disprove the other?
