Drury needs to acquire a D. Trouba took a head shot tonight. It wasn't illegal. Chytil and Kakko come back. The Rangers are fine. Their D needs more depth.

D doesn't need more depth. D needs an upgrade on Lindgren.

adding depth does nothing. who comes out?

Ottawa has a few interesting pieces. Obv Tara and Motte are available but I wonder more about Pinto and Brannstrom. They probably cost more than I’d like.

I'd really like Pinto but I'm not sure he's moved.

Guess something happened to a forward as well as Trouba? Didn't really notice anything tbh.

I wonder if Brodzinski goes down so they can see a bit more of Edstrom

This is simply not true if you have been reading these boards my guy. I got onto the Kane train last year when there were legitimate signs pointing to it. Nothing was unprompted, its the roster building thread. And guess what, it happened. But i guess exaggerate all you want, much easier to do that than to talk with any credibility or truth, such as suggesting i turned every thread into a kane discussion. Be more dramatic and flame the falsehoods because it sounds cool.

Oh look every one Kane scored again tonight. Again hate all you want people, but he is still producing and that was always my point.
Also giving away. He's a net negative

is Brod still waiver exempt?

Ottawa is such a mess that they might just want to hit the reset button, but he probably winds up costing a lot; which might be fine though.

If rangers go all in and use their 1st, it needs to be for someone cost controlled. Make the Tampa move basically. Going all in on a rental is not the move.

That's not the limiting factor. A cheap 7D is not going to solve the Lindgren issue.

Upgrading Jones is obvious for the 7D. That's not the issue though IMO
I don’t think that this front office (rightfully or wrongfully) has the balls to pull the trigger on a Lindgren deal in season. Especially if Trouba is out long term. Lindgren you kind of want to move for a better puck moving LHD if you want to get value there. But that’s a really tough move to make in season

I get it. That will be the limiting factor going forward though imo.

Would anyone else be curious to see Jones play forward if we are down a forward in a game or other situation arises? I have no idea how Jones would do at forward but I'd like to see him there before we make any decision on him.

Yeah I mean, they just need to not extend him. in season move might actually be locker room suicide, but him and Igor are the too guys that they really cannot extend at what they will cost. I mean their best is find a team with too many puck movers and not enough lindgrens and try and do a swap but that’s a really tough ask

Nope. You send him down he has to go thru waivers this time

Lindgren and Kakko for Chychrun and Pinto, who says no?

The salary cap. The Rangers can’t afford those deals. If you could do like Brannstrom and Pinto, you might be able to fit that, but I think that’s more of like a Kakko/Jones deal than Lindgren.

if we are going to pretend would rather do Lindgren for Sandin because brothers but that’s not happening either

The limiting factor is cap space. Replacing Lindgren and/or replacing Jones still leaves us with 7 capable dmen. We can't count on anyone in the AHL.

Me. Chychrun is made of glass and Kakko is better at O and D than Pinto. But Pinto also plays C, and also may have a gambling problem. If everyone was able to stay healthy, I could see this, but one of the prime reasons we want to move Lindy is we are afraid of him breaking down... and Chychrun seems already there. I'm amazed he has played 30 games this season.
And the Cap says no I guess, as well.
