Othmann - Eichel - Lafreniere
Kreider - Zibanejad - Kakko
Cuylle - Trocheck - Chytil
Vesey - Barker - Sykora

Lindgren - Fox
Miller - Schneider
Robertson - (X)

Shesterkin
Garand

could this be a cap compliant roster by fall 2026? Or would it hinge on too many things having to go right for us money wise?

Not that I think either are realistic, but why are we chasing Eichel instead of McDavid?

#1 it's not happening. #2 who would wanna see that prick in our uniform. I could not root for that guy. Winning the Cup with him would be nothing like winning the Cup with Messier. It would be like rooting for Tom Brady to win a SB with the Giants.

And even if I didn't personally despise the dude, think of all the negative shit we'd have to listen to if that actually happened. "Rangers couldn't win the Cup with their own players, had to go get Crosby to do it etc". 30 years later & people still call the '94 team the New York Oilers or some version of that.

Lmao you’re kidding right. Like you’re kidding that you really care about what anyone else thinks when we have 1 cup in 84 years. This is laughable and I despise Crosby. I want to see the Stanley Cup.

Also, I would not care if the Giants got Tom Brady the Giants beat Tom Brady twice
Agreed - I also just dont care about other players - Its kind of lame to despise another teams player unless theyre a criminal or something lol

I wouldn't care if we won the Cup because the 31 other teams all got plague.

Fine, but we're all wasting energy on this. One of Bern's trades is likelier to happen than Cindy coming here.
I don't think it's that out of pocket.

Aging stars tend to come here. We're seen as a contending team. If the Penguins go belly up, I don't see Sid sitting around and watching it.

He may ask out.
But he caused this disaster too.

While I hope he doesn’t sit around and watch I’m not sure he’s the jump ship kind of guy. Especially to a rival.

I get the desire, but no need to call up Othmann at this point.

Let him marinate for the season.
Cuylle got up for a few games last season during his 1st full AHL season. A few games would give him a taste and make him work even harder to get to the NHL full time. A few games isn't not gonna ruin his development

Good to see they called up a forward that can't skate, slow and hasn't played NHL full time wince 18-19 season. Should have called up Belzie if they wanted a vet called up

On the flip side-he comes up for a few games and struggles and his confidence takes a big hit...and he gets sent back down..it might not ruin his development, but it certainly can do some harm. He's right where he needs to be right now,no reason at all to call him up and give him added pressure to produce

He's a cocky kid. Confidence isn't an issue with a player like Othmann.

I think they should stick with Othmann in the AHL, dont rush it.

If he continues to produce at all strengths consistently, you look at bringing him up later in the year if theres room on the 3rd line. If Kakko is still out and Chytil is back - could Cuylle switch wings?

Othmann Chytil Cuylle
Vesey Bonino Goodrow

Question is where the hell does Wheeler go. Whatever, if Othmann is ready

Riley Nash called up to replace Goodrow's teeth confirmed.

Agree that it won't ruin his development.

Just don't think we should be taking a kid playing a ton of minutes in all situations and putting him on the 3rd/4th line with limited situational opportunities.

Cuylle got a taste of the NHL in the exact role he was projected to fulfill if/when he made the big show.

Not expecting the same for Othmann if/when he gets the call which will do him no favors other than potentially disrupting what is shaping up to be a very nice looking season in the AHL
