Not to mention Brodzinski is a journeyman who is no spring chicken. Enjoy the 4 points..

I don't care about the pedigree. I care about the on ice production. Kakko has had an extremely disappointing year and to be outscored by a journeyman in only 4 games is quite telling. I will enjoy the 4 points this weekend and I'm hoping for more because the team needs a RW who can actually do something on that line.

All he had to do was talk about how the bumper being right handed is a prerequisite and I would have enough stay cised for eternity.

Wolf Pack is playing above good hockey and are skimp on RW’s.
Kaapo playing on lines we’re he’s the star and doesn’t think he needs to be unselfish on every shift because he’s playing with established veteran’s might allow him to break-out (not talking about acne).

We don't have the cap to make that work once everyone is healthy.

Please God don’t tell me there are some here thinking we should roll with Brodzinski as the top 6 RW next to Kreider-Zibanejad rather than upgrade that spot with a proven NHLer. The guy who has been a career AHLer who has played 5 decent periods in a row. People drooling over the speed and that he fell into 4 points playing with quality players, ignoring all of his other shortcomings. This is a 4th liner at best. God I would rather see Jimmy Vesey up there instead. Same compete level, more hockey IQ and competence.

Vatrano is a better overall player.
I think you occasionally get a guy like brodz who breaks out after changing something, and he does look a little faster, so that springs him open.

I dont know if thats true. Vatrano was bad defensively from what I remember

Zegras hurts, but Laf will better than Lundell

Zegras has 2 points in 12 games, and he’s a one dimensional offense only player at this point. He also would not have gotten the leash and PP1 time he was given in Anaheim. His numbers here would not have been very impressive. This board would be (wrongly) screaming to trade him for an upgrade this year, if not last. He’s still young and I still expect him to be a great 3rd line (if he learns some D) or more likely very good second line player. Much like I expect from Kakko. He may even end up a legit first liner, but so may Kakko.
Laf is already much better than Lundell, and was at least as good if not better last year. Lundell had a great rookie year in his D+2, but has looked lesser since.

Vesey is also a viable option, at least from my perspective.

Players appropriate sprinkled throughout the lineup can temporarily make things work. Colin Blackwell worked just fine on Panarin's opposite side.

My only point here is that choices are limited. We don't want to rush Othmann or Edstrom. Kakko and Chytil are out for a while still. Brod is one guy who deserves a cup of coffee with that line, so does Vesey. Maybe we give Othmann a short stint right before the deadline if he's hot in the AHL.
