Boyle thinks we could still be "meaner." heh

We can’t already?I want another top 6 forward if possible but getting a Greenway or Hathaway in the bottom 6 is another route we can go. Gotta be able to play that game against a team like Florida
If this was H.S., here would be the cool kids table. Are there some type of notifications or alerts that people set up for whenever something random about their team is mentioned? Usually it's the NJD fans, but It always amazes me how they come crawling out of the woodwork like roaches. Imagine going on another teams' board and crying foul about a hypothetical Bern level deal that would be 2 years away?![]()
Well there was that one time he gave Karlsson knuggies.I was going to say- major pot calling the kettle black

We have Trouba, Laf, trocheck, Lindgren, Schneider who are big physical and easily play with the style of game Florida wants.
I don’t want the return of Avery for the sake of it.
The current holes in our roster is 3c (until fil comes back),
3rw until kk comes back.
Maybe try and upgrade from wheeler.
Our defense core is solid. Our goaltending is solid.
We have injury issues that time fixes.
I’m not exposing long term holes on my roster to bandaid something that will be fixed by time, or even worse, to match up against a theoretical team in the playoffs.
Me too. He has been using that one timer from distance a lot more lately and it’s working nicely. And it seems the team is trying to set him up more so I think they agree.I actually think he'd be good in the high slot spot but I'm weird like that.
I agree about the top 6. Don't think we are great though. Good but not close to great imo. Our first line is really a second line if not for the PP stats. Wish we had a elite level top 5-10 player who could carry the team at times.Rangers could use someone in the top six not named Vesey or Wheeler. Rest of the lineup looks great, especially when the third line of Cuylle-Chytil-Kakko comes together.

Still with you on that, depending on the currencyBoyle mentioned a play Miller made in the Buffalo game. Miller made a soft play on one of the Buffalo goals. Miller needs to play more physical. Boyle isn't wrong. Boyle wants the Rangers to add another big D. He made those comments a few weeks ago. Brooks was discussing the story he wrote about Trouba being the villain and the Rangers have always been an offensive finesse team throughout most of their history. Brooks is not wrong.

Someone can be another borderline guy. Id really like to find a difference maker.Thats the "adding someone in the top 6 not named vesey or wheeler"
The cost of an asset like that isn't worth it. We're a good team. We play a style perfect for the playoffs, we have a goalie who could easily get hot for that.Someone can be another borderline guy. Id really like to find a difference maker.
The 3 goal’s doesn’t concern me. I think its a problem of 2 thingsFor those clamoring for Tarasenko, have you watched him play this year? I haven’t, but i see that he only has 3 goals and he looked pretty close to washed to me as a Ranger last year. I have zero interest in trying to add him again.
What kind of trade would TBL make? That’s the kind of trade I am interested in. A middle six winger, or “forward”, with speed, jam, and an ability to score greasy goals.

We don't know what the cost is. Was Joe Thornton worth ot? Was Mark Messier worth it? Sometimes they are some times they aren't. I don't think we have a big window here. I think guys like Zibs, Bread, CK, and Trouba have a limited window. I hope we roll the dice on great instead of just being satisfied with good. The cost of an asset like that isn't worth it. We have futures ready to start sliding into the roster next year.
I dont wanna ruin that.
Doesn't matter, he played here previously, so of course people want him back, whether they've seen him play or not.For those clamoring for Tarasenko, have you watched him play this year? 1) Ottawa is a tire fire
2) Tarasenko didn’t really want to be there. Like Kane i think he wanted to return to the Rangers.
I also dont see him as washed at all. That 1st line needs more finish and offensive ability. Slot Wheeler down.
Another Team to keep an eye on towards the deadline is Pittsburgh. Crosby has this year and next left on his deal. Guentzel is 29 in a contract year. Jeff Carter is a UFA at year’s end, but I don’t know if he has anything left.
Will Tampa hold up this year? Stamkos? Hedman has this year and next left.
Nashville. Trenin. Barrie. Mcdonagh with 50% retained? He has 2 years left after this one
Word is, is that Calgary had ZERO interest in retaining any salary.I wouldn't be happy either...they gave him away.
In fact at that price, we should've been in on him.

Its a shame Cirelli's contract is one the Rangers can't afford. He would be the perfect type of player the Rangers can use. Its a shame Ryan Hartman resigned with the Wild. He'd be another player that the Rangers can use.
