We're saying this like the opposite of not scoring is scoring and it's black and white. What if the other player being brought up misses an assignment, or two, and the Rangers get scored on?

I understand the desire to see the young kids with potential but it's obviously not time yet. Give it another 20 games and see where they are. Let them build their confidence and get comfortable before throwing them in the deep end...
Give them a taste, send them back hungry to come back is the point. Nothing really to be gained by giving Brodzinski opportunities

I'll be surprised if Corey Perry isn't a Ranger by the weekend.

I understand the meme that "What Perry did was so bad that even a trashcan organization wouldn't stand for it." I could easily see it cutting the other way, where they've had so much bullshit going on and drawn so much ire that they have to walk on egg shells and act quick to avoid further controversy...especially with such a high profile youngster in the organization.

It could be "he had a bad drunk night, but the org is zero tolerance." If he did something more pitiful than offensive, like Steve Buscemi in the Wedding Singer, then there's no reason to black-list him. I'd at least look into it behind the scenes and see if there's something redemptive there for a Wheeler contract. GM's will obviously find out more and sooner than we will, so I think Drury should sniff around. If it's BAD, then walk away and say nothing.
That’s exactly the question. The organization that’s tainted with broad cover-ups (in addition to sexual abuse and other “misbehavior”) would be wise to disclose the issue that caused contract termination. Just doesn’t make sense to me.

The NHLPA is going to get involved regarding the contract termination. Thats why everyone is so tight lipped about what actually happened.

I agree with you, after the 40 game mark if their play continues. I do not like to see young kids get yo-yo'd in their first year in the AHL.

I could see a scenario where Perry, in an intoxicated state, made a supposed to be 'funny' comment about the Blackhawks recent history in regards to Carcillo and others. Something that would clearly be out of place and unwise. This is pure speculation.

Seravalli mentioning "corporate partners" in his article was telling

Trocheck signing got killed from day 1. It's too long! Copp is better! Trocheck is the best faceoff man in hockey, plays PP1, has skill, PK. He does it all. Every single line he's on is solid. Pacing for close to 70 points. The fact that he is signed for $5.6M is crazy. A guy like that should be getting around $7M.

Beyond that, he literally was the perfect addition in terms of play style. He's tenacious on the puck, he's an excellent puck carrier, he's excellent on faceoffs. People keep saying that he is a 3C, I'm sorry I don't see it. He's a very good, above average, 2C with all that he does.
