Berard has 21 games of pro experience. Probably has more to do with it than anything else. Good idea to allow him to continue to get top 6 minutes in Hartford than to be in and out of the lineup here.
Perhaps it becomes an option down the road but its not like hes ripping up the A. I have zero issue with him and Othmann remaining in the A. I get that they're sexier options but neither guy has really forced their way up, at least not yet.
i get it, but at the same time, there's a long term hole to fill. we have players with skillsets better suited to where it is in the lineup and actual upside / personality to their game. it's nice to have the human embodiment of paint drying to throw out there but my first look would be at the upside. besides, just like herpes, brod inevitably always comes back. i knew that wouldn't be the path they took, but i think it's the one they should have
