Upper body. I hope it's not because he listened to 32 Thoughts yesterday.
He heard about the pushups in practice and his triceps strained itself. It was scared of a workout...

Larry Brooks specifically mentioned the Rangers we’re happy with his on and off ice testing and that it wasn’t a “he didn’t put in the effort in the off-season” thing
Brooks has also been back to slinging messaging for the team in the public since gorts and JD got fired. It's turned into the same thing as the sather days.

He signed a 3 year deal. He would have forced his way out if that was the case. Regardless, that trade doesn't really make any sense or help us.

I know the player, I know the team. I just don’t see it happening, him going to the Rangers. He got a nice good faith bridge deal.

If Zegras hits his true potential he will be making more than Jack Hughes on his next deal.

Lines are perfect, kinda prefer Pitlick to Bonino but maybe thats just preseason bias
concur

There's nothing nasty about saying this is absolutely ludicrous and will never happen. ,,,
you might vote no, and that is yr right, but neither abs. or ludi.
Technically,, only God is absolute. Humans get to be excellent or even flawless.
And it is not ludicrous.
Value works for both clubs, cap wise + value wise.

Shesty is Vezina. Whether they can keep for around the same 8-ish m they are gonna pay Sanderson or have to flip him for a huge haul next season after they have dibs remains to be seen, But it is premium for premium.
2 F elcs for 2 F elcs

for Rs add high quality LD and mid-pt on, that 8m is gonna look good, barring injury. If we keep Shesty, he'll get big increase on the 5+ he gets now.

Yes, it is a huge risk Garand works out, but I take that risk.
Pinto is also worth the deal, he is very young but ready, more reliable known, and still cheap.

Ive seen you post these trades for around 10 years. Have any ever happened?
that is not the correct measure of a proper acid test for this.
Yes, rarely there are NHL blockbusters.
Almost never by Rangers.

But blockbuster aside, the correct measure is I said stuff on record, and mgmt did not do it, and were we better off or not b'c they went dif direction?

No time for extended discussion don't wanna go there here/now, but just two illustrations to prove the pt, I wanted them to trade Talbot, not at the last minute, Slats got greedy, backed himself into a corner, we took less. I wanted to move Buch earlier, when his value was higher b'c he had more term while his salary was low. But no, despite not any reasonable intelligent basis to not listen to bern, they waited until all that was left was sliver of rfa rights.

I stand by what I say and that is fair.
But I should not have it vs me when I was proven correct in hindsight AND THEY DON'T LISTEN.

Laf, Chytil, 2nd for Zegras

Sign Kane later

Kreider Zib kakko
Panarin Zegras Wheeler
Cuylle Trochek Kane
Goodrow bonino pitlick/Vesey
yes to Zegras as a target at some later pt [as noted, he has 3 yrs left on new deal].
zero basis for Ana to move now.
Also, while yes, have to give quality for quality, the idea is to ADD to Chytil, not deplete roster by dealing him.

Look at from Ducks position
in 2 yrs they may acquire new foundation piece or 2 for pivot, making Zegras trade possible.
The deal that can work now is something like
ANA 2nd + Helleson
for
Lindgren

I will say it again. Preseason means nothing except for a few roster spots being open and young guys trying to make the team. Congrats to Cuylle and Jones. This year's roster and coaching staff are better than the team that finished with 107 points. There may be a 10-15 game adjustment to the coach and new systems but this team easily makes the playoffs.

If Brooks was being their PR mouthpiece I think if anything he'd be putting out the opposite info...that they're disappointed in his training, he didn't put in the work, etc, and especially not that Brooks put out an article saying "just play the guy on the top line and let him cook"
It's weird people will contort themselves to fit a narrative like some of ya'll

No he wouldn't. Laf and Chytil combined for 90 points and are both 1st rounders. Zegras had a total of 65 points and is a bit overrated by some here.

Zegras has 90pt potential easily. Laf and chytil won't produce much more. Throwing a 2nd into that trade won't balance it out.

Zegras was on pp1 in Anaheim and put up 65 points. 48 at even strength.
Chytil himself isn’t far off that pace. I like zegras a lot, but let’s not undervalue our own players just because there’s a possible ny kid.

Chytil had 50 points last year and he absolutely has 60+ point potential. Throw in 40-50 points from Laf AND a 2nd rounder and you think that would be an underpay? No fing way.

It absolutely is. I believe Laf+ Chytil will match the point production Zegras has this season. All your adding to that Is a likely high 2nd. That's not enough to pry a face of a franchise player away from another team. (Unless Zegras ever wants out)

Not undervaluing, just being realistic. No reason duck's would make that trade

It is an interesting move.

I look at the trade as Chytil and a 1st round pick (Laf) for Zegras.

I do not know the correct answer. I think Chytil is really coming around but I worry about injury.

Will Zegras be around 65 points again? Or will he reach another level? Zegras is fun to watch but if he stays around 65 points then we overpaid.
