There's absolutely no way, with the team healthy, Othmann and Lafreniere are both in the top six.
That's not an opinion, that's math.

We're getting smarter, at least in theory lol. Butterfly taking over goaltending, the 1-3-1 power play.
There's a reason why over the past 15 years you see fewer and fewer defenseman deployed on their offhand side.
You have to be special enough in today's game that even minor adjustments seem like mountains to climb.
Hockey today is fast. Fractions of a second to make decisions. You even face or make a step the wrong way and you're out of the play.I think the biggest factor is that hockey today is much more dynamic than it was 15-20 years ago and beyond. Wingers in open play move laterally all the time in today's hockey.
Obviously, but if Othmann is 3RW (best case scenario, actually) there's already a hint in the air of "heavens to Murgatroyd that's the 3rd line!!!!"The only way that's even remotely possible is if Kakko moves to 3LW which only happens if Laviolette has an aneurysm![]()

He might play 15:15 a game at even strength instead of 15:25. The humanity.

Tough North American line:
Cuylle - Chytil - Othmann
Soft euro line:
Lafreniere - Zibanejad - Kakko
And Laf isn't Euro. That's the joke.Chytil isn't North American

Me too. Kakko was getting into good shooting position last season, if I recall correctly. And his shot has been improving. Panarin will get him the puck.I honestly really love the idea of Kakko as Panarin's RW. Kakko has also probably been the most productive playing RW on Panarin's line. He's great at winning loose puck battles and a hound on the boards. He can break up plays and can also play defense. Great IQ and can hopefully finish chances at a better rate than most RWs ppl try to put with Panarin. Panarin/Mika/Kakko is a legit top line. It also makes it easier for the 2nd and 3rd lines to play a tougher forecheck/cycle game because I think Panarin/Mika aren't good at those things.
I just watched Oppenheimer. A lot of math is opinion until it isn't. ;-)There's absolutely no way, with the team healthy, Othmann and Lafreniere are both in the top six.

No he doesn’tLafy plays like a soft euro
Yup Laf was second to Trocheck among forwards. He was 5th on the team in hits, the 4 ahead of him had more to significantly more ice time. He had more hits than Kreider. I guess Kreider is a soft Euro.
I believe Vesey agrees with you, so no, you’re not the only one.Am i the only one that would prefer vesey over Goodrow as a third line winger?
