Nope I know you haven’t.
But I find it toxic af, and the ultimate keyboard warrior.
Anyone who calls a professional athlete fat should be forced to skate a game at their level.

Yeah honestly its just dumb.

There were more than a few people who were on Fox for being "out of shape" at the beginning of last year. Then he went on to have the best season he's had in the league (which some people thing was an awful season bc of a bad moment in G7, which is even more dumb.)

Like unless you're actually in the room when these guys are tested, you have no idea.

Phil Kessel can skate a whole marathon around anyone on here before said poster gets 100m

I like Kessel and in a different moment I'd want him here but id be nervous it would be the Kane thing all over again where they keep trying to force him into spots he can't currently handle and it would require one of the kids to step out of the top 6. Imo this year is about getting the kids to the next level, and Kessel might interfere with that.

Signing another veteran player who can be demoted or waived at any given time isn't a bad move
Yes it is. I’m not wasting a contract on that. If you can improve top six, sure; but we signed a ton of fillers during free agent frenzy. No one coming in that can be waived is helping this team

It also started based on some bullshit speculation here which was obviously fake, but the usual brainlets ran with it and it’s another stupid meme that gets spammed

Based on CapFriendly, if we roll with 21 players on the opening night roster, we should have about $1.4 million in cap space that with each passing day from the start of the season will allow us to bank trade deadline space. From there we can sign Kane in November or December and roll to the deadline, in which we could add a depth pesky forward

Yes. Absolutely.

I ride Laf more than anyone and if you can find me calling him fat, I'll send you $20.

The way he's sucking down those hot dogs you both can ride him.

I read somewhere that number is closer to 3M and with 22 players.

I think questioning a players conditioning in the season is fair. This fan base should really not be unfamiliar with multiple players having been exposed for coming into camp in sub-par shape.

HOWEVER, that is much different than the stuff around Laf. Some posters have mentioned knowing things about him, not liking him, and saying that its cause what they know. Well if you know something, share it. If you can't share it, don't say you know it. It sounds silly.

I can get on board with Heinen and thats about it.
Heinen can get a one way deal, just not for term. He's not signing a PTO.

Brassard had a +cRel% with a 40% oZs. 50% faceoffs. Gets monthly coupons for Ensure and glucosamine. Now that's a guy you PTO.

RGYs numbers are right. The above is based off carrying a full roster with 3 extras. It'll be interesting to see how many Drury chooses to keep. As RGY said, he could choose 1 and gain ~1.5 million, that'll increase how much cap they accrue as well. Sounds nice but it's a double-edged sword. Who are you willing to waive now? Pitlick, Belzile, etc.. if they get claimed its whatever, right? Jones or Mackey? Those are 2 players I'd rather not lose for nothing. I believe both of them would be claimed.

You don't really wanna lose anyone but if they keep 3 extras they'll accrue very little cap space. Honestly not a terrible thing. No cap will keep them in check at the deadline.

He could choose 2 extras, does he go 1 forward and 1 D... 0 forwards, 2 D? The 2 D-men here are more valuable in my eyes than Belzile & Co. 2 extras... 1 less player you could lose, little bit of extra cap. Should have room to add something at the deadline.

I wonder if they might look to shop Jones. Not that I'd want to, I think he can be a big contributor somewhere.. but once they signed Gustafsson that role is really his to lose. A Jones trade would allow them to go the route of 1 extra without losing anyone for nothing. Mackey as the extra, pick up a little something for Jones and gain some extra cap space to accrue.

I wonder what route Drury goes in
