If the asking price is a first round pick, he is.

Why? We've taken 8 first round draft picks in the last 4 years, two of those top 5 picks, and acquired several other former first round picks over that time. We only lost out on Lias Andersson... I'm not seeing why we can't spend a 2021 1st

Who's defending ADAs actions?

People are just tired of emotional tantrums like yours because you despise a guy. It's not based on what actually happened in the tunnel.. We get it, you have a deep rooted disdain for the guy and his tribe.

@Richard Banger you need to chill out.... We've moved onto another topic, you're adding unnecessary stress to the conversation

Because you don't spend what it is looking like a lottery pick on a guy that you want to play on your 3rd pairing.

Because Dunn would be a middle pair guy here, they are deep in defensemen prospects and the Rangers' first round pick could conceivably be the first overall pick.

The Rangers can still be really bad this year. I know teams do the NBA-style lottery protections with draft picks now, but still. Don't put that in the universe.

Where do the Penguins find these guys like Tanev ? He has been a real thorn in these 4 games with the Penguins . He has been like a buzz saw ...his wheels never stop turning .

Sam & Joe were talking about how the Pens always have the ability to find these diamonds in the rough time and again. When you have two generational players centering your top two lines, mediocre players will continue to excel alongside them. There are probably a bunch of guys on this board who could get 20-30 points playing with those guys.

Mika should sit until he is healthy. he looks injured and sick. he just looks off. how does the team not notice this??

We never do. We always play our injured stars. I/We can't be imagining this for straight up 10 years ... one of the few things I hate. There is some wierd money/spotlight shtick with this club, I swear.

@Kakko Schmakko was defending his actions that is why I was responding to him. And lmao your right I’m throwing a tantrum. Let’s just sweep this away and never talk about it again... typical.

They didn't really find him. They gave him a 6 year deal for 21M.

Meanwhile, back in reality land, FOUR teams are interested in him....

Use your head, man

I don't have time to read the thread.
Can I ask where you heard that from?
Any names mentioned as far as players coming back?

I like Lindgren but I hope someone else like Schneider playing the left or Robertson can come along and nail down his spot a bit better. Lindgren seems to me like a perfect 3rd pairing guy with some grit but I worry he's a bit over his head playing as many minutes with Fox as he is.

Also will be fascinating to see if the Rangers can turn the DeAngelo situation into an add for the team somehow...like getting a decent center

He does give an impression of recovering or catching up in the last possible moment he always does recover / catch up. He's been under more pressure at this point than at pretty much any point last season so it is still open if he simply get used to it or start leaking. For now it's too early to call it either way.

Can't the Rangers offer a top 3 or 5 or lotto protected 1st for Dunn? Would default to a 2022 #1 if the Rangers pick was in one of those protective status?

Doesn't mean the Blues would accept but they could offer a #1 with those protections.

Sub Jones for Lindgren and I agree.

Miller-Trouba
Robertson-Fox
Jones-Schneider

Fox and Lindgren have great chemistry dating back to playing together as teenagers, and I love Lindgren’s grit, but longer term, I think a) Fox benefits from playing with a bigger partner, and b) I worry about Lindgren’s longevity. Meanwhile, having a second offensive defenseman who is a natural lefty would slot in very well next to Schneider. Top it all off with the fact that you’d then have a wider range of ages and RFA windows, and I think you’ve got the optimal mix.

(Also, I love Jones as a prospect.) :)

Interestingly Robertson - Lundkvist seems as much of a natural pair as Jones - Schneider.
