According to Dan Rosen the projected Blue line is:

Lindgren - Fox
Johnson - DeAngelo
Miller - Trouba

if true, that’s an all American d corps
Would they really have JJ-Tony as the 2nd pair? I'm sure they'll get used differently but I can't imagine Trouba getting less minutes than them.

Trouba will be getting both PK and PP time that will bump is overall usage up. D Pairs will probably see usage in terms of Zone % rather than pure line matchup

That JJ signing looks even more idiotic if it prevents Bitteto and/or Hajek getting their games in for the expansion. If they all suck, why not make being compliant easier?

most waived guys don't get claimed, and vets need be waived to be assigned to taxi squad
they should waive all of Rooney, PDG, Smith, Johnson tomorrow

yes NYR will need to get Bitetto, or Hajek, enough games to be the "exposed-to-Seattle D with enough games played"

there has been speculation of the thresholds being pro-rated
- from 70 over 2 seasons to ~54 [ 70*(70+56)/164=53.78] ] or
- From 40 for this season to ~27 [ 40*56/82=27.31]
BUT that is not yet formally announced,
so Bitetto may need 19 more games (51 last season) or Hajek will need 40
Capfriendly says 3 GP remaining for Bitteto

I'm riding this K'Andre Miller hype train all the way to the f***ing moon. I love this kid and can't wait to see how he looks in the top-4. I'm expecting hiccups and struggles along the way, but it's absolutely amazing that he's seized this opportunity and ran so far with it.

Not for nothing but I’ve said for a couple seasons now to me miller’s bigger weakness is in down low coverage where the other team is cycling below the goal line and down low. He can get lost there.

kid got to spend 3 months playing small space 1 on 1 hockey against Alexis Lafreniere in the backyard. Think he picked up anything?

Hes put in the work.

If I'm not mistaken, hes been in NY training since July. I don't think he went back home after they were eliminated by Carolina, or if he did it was a very short stay.

they should waive all of Rooney, PDG, Smith, Johnson tomorrow (just my opinion)

The thresholds for player protection have been officially changed. I believe your numbers are correct. It’s a done deal.

Hopefully!

I think Trouba is pretty decent at that part of the game as well so hopefully he can help teach or help pick up the slack. Maybe I'm wrong on that though

But yeah, exciting to hear the hype, see him make the team, hopefully he can really take the opportunity and run with it
