Today I learned Ryan Lindgren is not Swedish.
5 are American, DeAngelo is ‘Murican
Love the idea of Miller with Trouba.
BUT — from day 1?? Oooooooh playing that role takes something completely else than “just” being a regular NHLer. A lot of wear and tear. Heavy duty. Have to play really banged up for long stretches (most likely).
Just saying, that is one big challenge. I am not against it really, just saying that I don’t think many NHL coaches even would have considered putting a rookie in a role like that. Even for a really really good young D it usually take several years in the NHL before you are ready for bigger harder minutes. Often up towards 26-27 y ears of age.. Many can do great getting sheltered and easier minutes. But that role is the opposite of that.
I don't consider this comment frivolous, if that's what you mean.I take it you don't criticize others for taking frivolous things too seriously?

Tough kid who can actually take an NHL shift.I wouldn't mind Khaira at all as a claim
I’m special, just ask my momI'm not doubling down I admitted that's all he might have meant. I just associate the word with special NHLers. I, just like most people think making the NHL is not the bar. But yes if that's your lifelong dream it's special for you. I just took it differently.

That's Buch you're thinking of5 are American, DeAngelo is ‘Murican
You confused him with all of the other Swedish Ryans?
People think Barkov is Russian, Khodorenko is Belorussian/Ukrainian, Lambert is Canadian, Virtanen is Finnish and Wahlstrom is Swedish.
Then you have Burakovsky who has a Russian dad, was born in Austria but represents Sweden. Hockey kids really are children of the earth, and not really bound to the country of their heritage
Virtanen is a funny one because his actual name is Jacob Virtanen, which just adds to the confusion. Doesn't sound Canadian at all
At least Barkov has both a Russian first and last name.

Ryan is a name that exists in Sweden
NEVER!the simple solution is to not pay the goalie 9 million dollars
and Georgiev...born in Bulgaria, raised in Russia, played most of his grown up hockey in Finland and the NHL...

Yeah. Bulgarian by birth, Russian citizen, Finnish resident, American work permit. Crazy stuff
