And I absolutely don’t give a damn about your political views either and happy not to see them when I’m looking for New York Rangers news. You could be ultra left or right or moderate but keep it to yourself if you want Rangers fans to come to you for hockey news, objective analysis and editorials.
The only time I want to see mention of players' political views is when the player has done something notable to make them public. And even then, I don't want to see them, but can understand why they're being reported. And even then, I don't really care about anyone's opinion of those athletes opinion (generally, unless it's nuanced).

I understand that a lot of the players I really like are diametrically opposed to me politically and I'd rather just not know about it, as it makes me feel conflicted. LOL.

Yes, I post my prospect interviews there. They approached me last year and gave me a platform to share my experiences. I know there's a lot of criticism towards the site, but for me it's just a platform I was allowed to use.

I really don't have the time to create a website, generate traction and then post, so it works for me. I don't really want to get sucked into a debate on what the site is or isn't but appreciate people reading the prospect coverage and interviews.
I will say, I do enjoy reading your interviews with the kids. I hope that you can develop enough of a following to launch yourself to bigger and better platforms.

Thanks. It's nothing more than a hobby. I just enjoy being able to ask questions and share that. Of course the big prospects are off limits as they are already under contract, but as long as they are unsigned, they are usually easy to reach out to

Back in the day, before social media became huge, it was really easy to find the NA-based kids on Facebook. I was friends with dozens of guys from junior to AHL. Even once they turned pro some of them left their accounts open. I never tried to do an interview or anything, but I remember communicating with Mitch Gaulton was retiring and that Trevor Koverko would no longer play after he finished school.

Then people started getting creepy in stalking guys, the players recognized social media could get them in trouble, etc. I remember I friended Leon Washington, RB for FSU after the Jets picked him. He was cool and communicated with his random fan friends. Then a couple years into his pro career he made it all private after posting a couple really profane things.

Yeah, I never reach out to them through Facebook

Most communication goes through their teams.

Yeah Facebook would likely be fruitless now anyway. And would be generally inappropriate.

Then, we couldn't log on to EP and find their agents, teams weren't responsive the way they are now. Not many people took sports blogging seriously in 2000 so even if you contacted someone with a team or agency, they'd be like, so you're some 20-year-old blog guy who wants to email our player? Pass. You needed to be a name to do that, or work through contacts.

I am not sure what this means for Strome, but probably not good for us.

I think it is. Reinhart is 3 years younger and has had much better production then Strome. Strome has had 1 good year (18g 59pts). Last season Reinhart had 22g and 52pts but he put up 65pts the year prior and before that 50pts and 47pts. I think Strome put up 35pts the year prior and could barely play in the NHL before that.

I think most would consider Reinhart to be superior to Strome. We can still shoot for a $4.XM deal for 1-2 years depending on how much Strome values taking less and just getting more guaranteed income.

I will just say this. As someone who has run a new York rangers site for years with a much smaller amount of content and far less time to dedicate...I'll just say it's a ton of work..and all the people shitting all over a website for their issues I'd say it's easier to play the critic than it is to develop the stuff to criticize.

I don't read forever blue shirts...but tbh I really don't read much nowadays. I'm all about listening to the podcasts.

The rangers really have a strong community...there's no reason to tear down someone who develops content for something we love.

With that said...calling yourself the premier anything is just setting yourself up for this kind of vitriol...so...maybe next time choose that part carefully.

The seasons to be or not to be is all about being able to generate sufficient money for owners and players alike. If restrictions make the predicted result too lean, there will be no 20-21 season. “No gate revenue = no season” is what I heard. So the outlook is really bleak...

no gate revenue + no tv revenue is way worse than just no gate review though....especially if that means extending the nbc deal a year and delaying the new tv contract that everyone is hoping for.

Interesting. They are sort of comparable to some extent. However, Reinhart’s last 3 seasons are 50, 65, 50 while Strome’s are 59, 35, 34. Reinhart’s goal totals career are 25, 17, 23, 22, 22. Strome’s top season was 19. Strome has 254 career points in 491 games and is over 27 years old. Reinhart has 255 points in 400 games and hasn’t turned 25 yet. I really hope the arbitrator looks beyond this past season.

This is minor but since it's quiet here I'll throw this out for discussion:

Did anyone else think when Kulikov signed with NJ "Man, they should have went after him instead of Johnson/Biteto"?

The Reinhart deal is good for us. We'll be able to walk away from the award, since it'll likely be over the threshold. Strome will either go UFA or claim our offer, which hopefully will not be much more than what he made this season.

Would it be, if the owners don’t have to pay salaries in a cancelled season?
