Why wouldn’t I pump the tires of the premiere Rangers website on a Rangers message board? I thought most fan would love the insight and breaking news
The Premiere Rangers Website? Lol cmon.

I appreciate your efforts to try and drive interest in your site but its certainly not the “Premiere” website with “insight” or “breaking news”. A lot of it is just click baity nonsense that gets thrown around. Wouldn’t be surprised if some of your “insight” came from surfing this very board and reading some of what the vetted posters put out there since half the content, or “insight”, on FB seems to follow suit of what is on here.

Tough crowd. So I take it you aren’t fans of that site?

It's fine for what it is:
One of the most actively curated NYR fan, news, speculation and rumor aggregation sites
But it's not what you aggressively pump it up to be.
And you are so often defensive and insecure, it undermines your credibility.

Too often, the postings overconfidently assert incomplete, or inaccurate, content.
You signed on the 2 fan guys, who have been writing about the Pack in various places for years,
but it seems won't fact-check or edit their submissions, despite having been alerted to oversights.

I, and probably many of us, appreciate your obvious efforts.
But you have convinced me that your reach exceeds your grasp.
You'd rather proclaim your excellence, than deliver it.

I will also say you have had some impressive moments.
You cited an insider lead that Crawley would be on the summer roster, when no one else predicted it, and it happened.
You gave our friend Steven a platform for his interviews, a win-win for us fans, and for drawing site traffic.

and in consideration of full disclosure, though it means little to me,
I will add that you blocked my Follow on Twitter.
I assume in response to constructive criticism.
I never raised a correction/complaint to you. without including related content and context.
To me, Ranger fandom is a community, we are in this together.
You may have felt I was giving you &#!|, but my intentions were actually supportive.

Anyway, your efforts are appreciated,
but possibly many of us don't see your site as leading, essential beacon that you wish it would be perceived as.

“That site”.... you mean to tell me you aren’t Anthony Scultore who created the site and writes the short blurbs that are much ado about nothing? Its just a coincidence your user name is the same as the site creator and you are pushing the website? Maybe youre a relative? Lol.

As to your question about being a “fan” of the site...No I am not because it is quite literally just a few fans who write short articles for it that is really all opinion based with no “insider” sources to give legs to any of the substance put out there. Its all done for clicks. Its basically what we all do here on HF Boards, which is take all the info out there and try to connect dots and make guesses. Except we arent posting for the clicks. I am happy to see anyone trying to turn their fandom into a legitimate site, but its no distinguished source of info. So there is nothing to be a fan of.

I believe Amazing Kreiderman does articles here and there for them, which are the interviews he conducts with the prospects. That material is interesting. But that is also because AK has a passion for traveling and following all the European and Russian prospects that are kids and would otherwise get minimal attention so they give AK the time of day. I mean its great work he does, but the rest of FB is really nothing to write home about. A lot of the trade ideas put together are not well thought out.

Should in fairness point out that @Amazing Kreiderman does post his prospect interviews there. They are excellent. Beyond that....pfffft
Haha was literally just posting this.

Also very similar to what I was just posting. Haha +1 very good post.

Is this the longest HF post ever on forever blueshirts

this pretty much sums up my thoughts...its one of the only fan sites that I go to. its a good site for what it is, and they should be pushing to be the top fan run site. not something else...there is nothing wrong with that

and credibility doesn't come from making vague statements and then later telling people you were right...if you have to tell people that you are credible you really aren't. do good work, put out good articles and that credibility will come naturally. people will notice on their own

Of the 40 countries involved, none of them border the shitshow known as the US.

The other NA sports just kicked their token Canadian teams into a close US city.

It's not nonsense whatsoever.

There are 7 teams in Canada, they can have their own division until (if) you can travel.

But it’s like oh that is so complicated, it might not be fair, let’s cancel the whole season. Asterix after the winner, we can’t have that. The two teams that played late MUST get three months rest.

What I meant was, it’s not NASA level complicated to play a season if you wanted to.

If all teams can’t play, fine, have the teams that can play play. Bettman is Mr Cancelling. The default option is always to not play.

I am not aware of the underlying details in this specific case, but in general — AMEN.

There are so many that are so intelligent, work so hard, are so ambitious — but they are also (a) super protective and afraid of being wrong, and (b) assume that many around them are brain dead, and it’s tremendously contra-productive. If they didn’t do the last two mentioned things they would deliver great content and really accomplish great things.

Take Neal Pionk for example. I think 5 NHL coaches has shown great trust in him and played him a ton; AV, Quinn, Ruff, Blashill (WCH) and Maurice. A young undersized kid from college. Sure, it’s without any doubt a result of lack of better alternatives. But if you can’t see what he contributes with on the ice, you must learn what it is what you can’t see. You got a gap. It’s as simple as that. You can critisize, second guess and what not to a huge extent, I am not saying something else, but whenever I read these fan sites, it’s so often ‘this guy is the worst in the entire league bla bla bla’. Nonsense,

Personally I cannot give their opinion credibility when they let their (highly liberal) political views influence their hockey assessments or worse very transparently build a link from political views to character judgement to hockey assessment.
