Do not the Rangers have enough LDs? ThrowbackJJ, wedding crasher, Lingren, Bitetto >100 games no one remembers, Hajek liked enough to trade for, Miller's untapped potential, Reunanen 2nd to last year of ELC ?

If Hajek, Miller and Reunanen cannot beat Bitetto for a spot on the team, they don't deserve to be in the NHL

I used to love reading Ro's wrap ups, but god lord could he get into crotchety old man mode.

I'm glad he's still around (just googled his site) and it still looks like a slightly better than 1997 Geocities. I thought he was in his 60s back then.

My favorite moment was when I took my then g/f to a Rangers-Lightning game in early 2006 where it was 0-0 until Tampa won in OT with like a minute left, and he found a way to compare the game to Star Trek II. She used to appreciate all those random references and people other than me would use them. It's from here:

Eklund and Hockey Rodent are my pre HF days.

I always think of Eklund as some Swedish dude who looks like Joe Buck when in truth it's probably like The Borg from Star Trek.

I never posted on Hockey Rodent, but I liked reading a bunch of the posters there. I was also a fan of the Rodent's wrap ups, but as time progressed, the less I liked his "smartest Ranger fan in the city" attitude.

A buddy of mine still posts there regularly. Too bad the site format was god awful, or I would've stuck around.

It used to banned. **lund. Think he was allowed again when he got the Carter/Richards trades.
This is Eklund aka Dwayne Klessel. Total loser and a fraud. Why people pay money monthly for his bullshit is beyond me. Like I said, he’s the CNN of “insiders”.

The NBA has one team in Canada and half the personnel of an NHL roster. The D-League Team plus NBA roster maybe equal one NHL team.

There must be 1,000s of business in the US that has more personnel than a NHL team and still are open. Traveling using regular routes is cumbersome, but NHL teams doesn’t travel with like ordinary air lines, right?

The problem is that the NHL is looking for problems instead of just going about business as usual — and only making the necessary adjustment.

Champions League, Europa League and national teams soccer is played as usual in Europe. Accomplishing that easily means 100x as many obstacles as the NHL would face, it’s like 40 countries involved, much less resources 90% of the time.

It’s just complete nonsense that the NHL couldn’t play. Complete nonsense.

The NHL was the only league of the big four in the US that didn't have any teams pause with covid during the return to play.

They are being very cautious but there's also a lot of politics here that none of us are entirely familiar with. You have owners and front offices that are dual Canadian/US, and a lot of players from all over the globe.

They're also starting at what is supposed to be a spike in numbers which is what we've seen in the US.

The NHL will come back, it's just a matter of early Jan or late Feb.

Of the 40 countries involved, none of them border the shitshow known as the US.

The other NA sports just kicked their token Canadian teams into a close US city.

It's not nonsense whatsoever.
