How do we know that they haven’t also targeted Monahan, too?
Haven’t they said - for one - they’re looking to get more difficult to play against? I mean, there’s more than one way to skin a cat but Monahan is pretty one-dimensional, doesn’t check many boxes. Do we need to prioritize adding scoring? He’s an upgrade to Strome but moving ADA for him and committing decent money sounds like a lateral move at best.

Put it this way, I’d certainly be disappointed if this was one of their targets.

Why would they wanna trade two good prospects than who make peanuts one of them in glass who should be able to contribute soon
Seems to make sense that they would keep Glass and be willing to move Krebs for a premium asset like ADA. Rangers can take on salary to help them as well.

They need a PP catalyst. Any trade would have to have cash going out as well as a top prospect. Either Krebs or Glass, not both. Tuch is at $4.5MM for several more years. Reaves and McNabb also possibilities. Think like a GM.

Fast to the Flyers lol. Unless they manage to win the cup, I kind of feel bad for the fans. AV is doing his thing again.

Weren’t they pretty bad on the PP in the conference final and semi final?

I’m sure GM thinks that possibly Ada and maybe Buch or Goat could help get them over the edge.

When is the last time in recent memory have the Rangers brought a player back after they traded him. Generally once they say goodbye, it's goodbye for good.

I mean people have been talking about bringing Brian Boyle back for 6 years

So I doubt Grabner is a legit target for Gorton

And this makes sense for the Rangers honestly. I like that layout for a deal more than what’s been discussed from Calgary

Dominick Moore?

As @bobbop said Vegas needs to move cap and the Rangers are one of the few teams in the league with the cap space and the financial capabilities of paying that salary in an uncertain environment. Some players the Rangers couls take back in a trade are McNabb, Reaves, Stastny, Martinez and if the Rangers plan to move Geo, Fleury (i would think there would need to be some retention there).

I would think Vegas would look to move out cap in net first since they now have almost $13MM committed to the crease.
