It's hilarious people are okay trading for Laine and then having to give him a fat contract in a year but ball at trading for eichel bc he has a locked in contract already even though he fills a glaring hole on this team

I don't think I've read anyone who would want Laine, but not Eichel. I would definitely rather have Eichel and it's not even close. I'm also fine if that costs us the ability to keep Zibanejad in two years as well. I just wouldn't really want to trade #1 OA to get Eichel is all I would say. I think there's only two assets I would not want to trade in a deal for him: #1 and Fox. There should be nobody else off the table for an elite 23 year old center.

Grabner had a serious eye injury recently. Buyer beware, we know how that can go

Grabner looked *decent* in the playoffs for Arizona actually. I’d take him for 1M for a year or two. He still has wheels and can chip in a little. Veteran who isn’t defensively lost for the 4th line. Nothing more.

Not that I’d expect anything more than 15-20 points if healthy, but I just realized how short of a time it’s been since Grabner was a Ranger. Literally two seasons removed. I also just realized that he scored 52 goals and 71 points in 135 games for us. That’s 31.5 goals per 82 pace and 43 points. Kind of crazy he was that productive just two years ago.

Well glass should be ready to go no? If not I would be worried about his development. Krebs on the other hand idk but we shall see. I still think we set ourselves up for disappointment on here thinking we can scoop other teams top prospects

Right now, Vegas is over the cap. That’s with 11 forwards, 6 defensemen and 2 goaltenders. They have to move salary and they still want to upgrade on defense which means they are the team to watch on the trade market.
Why would they wanna trade two good prospects than who make peanuts one of them in glass who should be able to contribute soon

Laine is completely redundant to what this team has. We are going to have three lines of top wingers with only one center. Teams win with strength down the middle and on D. We are weak down the middle and have three d men I trust in the playoffs for that kind of hockey: fox, trouba, lindgren. Ada is a fine talent but his game is not at this point to where I look at him and say he is a guy taking a regular shift in a finals. Why we would spend money and assets on another scoring winger right now is beyond me when we need the help in other areas. That's a Sather square peg round hole trade...

Yeah aside from the Rangers of course, they're the team I'm watching the closest. So far they've made some big trades and yet they haven't really needed to dip into that core group and move anyone out. If they're going to get under the cap they might have to do just that. They could of course buyout Fleury but that's not going to get them the space to go after Pietrangelo on the open market.

I have to think a Stastny or Fleury buyout is coming. Probably Stastny.

If they buyout Stastny and send us McNabb in a trade, they can probably afford DeAngelo. Just a matter of what we’d get besides McNabb.

Love to trade 1OA to LA for 2 and an unprotected first in 2021 and take Byfield. He’s going to be the best player taken in this draft in 3 years.

Guess what, my penis looks more like Steve Aoki than Ed Sheeran.

Also, OP compared to Aoki, why in the f*** do you bring up the ginger minge?

It started because we were watching TV and my fiancé said “is that a Steve Aoki shirt?” and I said “no, it’s a DJ Mika shirt” because she’s a big Zbad fan.

Was not intended to start a debate. Obviously they don’t truly look alike. It’s just the hair and facial hair.
